Kenzie POV
As my mom came barging in my room causing me to wake up from my peaceful sleep I just put my pillow over my head a went back to sleep which made my mom come over there and take the blankets off of me. "Come on Kenzie it's time to wake up, wouldn't want to be late on your last day of school" she told me. I finally got up and went to the bathroom and did my business. I walked back to my room and picked out an outfit for me to when and then did my makeup and hair. I went to the kitchen to find my mom on her phone waiting on me so we could go to the donut shop for some breakfast. Since today was the last day of school and a half day we weren't going to be doing anything, so I didn't bring my backpack. I just got in the passengers seat as my mom locked the front door and got in the drivers seat and we were off to the donut shop.
After we left the dount shop I checked the time which read 7:50, I didn't have to be there until 8, but it would take about 5 minutes to get to the school so my mom just drove to the school. As we rolled up to the front of the school I could see my best friend, Sarah, waiting for me. I got out of the car,told my mom bye and Sarah and I walked into the school.
Me and Sarah had the same class for the last period of school. I looked at Sarah then back to the clock 5,4,3,2,1 RING RING RING, everyone ran out of the school and started to head home. Me and Sarah finally made it out of the school and both yelled "SUMMER TIME". We usually walk home but today Sarah's sister,Sidney, was also out of college for the summer so she picked us up. She pulled up and we got into the car. I forgot to mention that me and Sarah have been the best of friends since we were babies. We're basically sisters. As we got to Sarah's house we went inside. Kelly, Sarah and Sidney's mom was sitting on the couch folding clothes and watching tv. " hi mom" we all three said. Like I said her family is basically my family. Sarah and I went to her room and talked about how it was going to be when I left to go see my dad.
The next morning
Still Kenzie POV
I woke up to the sun shining through my window. I looked at the time which read 9:15 so I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to do my business. I went back to my room to see that Sarah was now awake and waiting for me to get out of the bathroom. Once she was done we went down stairs to see my mom making her coffee and watching some TV show. We went into the kitchen and got down the cereal and I got a bowl for us both and the milk out. Before I poured the cereal into the bowl my mom said to go get dressed because we were going out to IHOP for breakfast. We ran upstairs and got out of our pajamas I had on a shirt that said " I Woke Up Like This" and some shorts with my converse and my hair was put up in a messy bun while Sarah had on a plain Nike light gray shirt on and some shorts with her Nike shoes and her hair was in a messy bun like mine. We grabbed our phones from the chargers and headed down stairs to see that my mom was already dressed. We walked out the door and got into the car and headed off to IHOP. When we got there I ordered the blueberry pancakes with scrambled eggs, Sarah got the original pancakes with a fruit bowl on the side and my mom ordered some kind of omelet. After we finished our food we went to Starbucks and I got a Vanilla Bean Frap,my mom got a Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher and Sarah got a Cotton Candy Frap. Them after that we just went out and did a little shopping and we also just walked around the stores in the mall. After about what felt like a short period of time it was getting time for us to go cause it was getting dark. Since I would be living tomorrow Sarah stayed another night. As we got home we thanked my mom for taking us out. "Your welcome girls I just wanted Sarah and I to spend some time with you before you leave tomorrow" mom said. We said goodnight to my mom and went to my room and I took a shower then Sarah took a shower after me. Before we laid down Sarah helped me finish packing my last things then we were off to sleep because we had to wake up extremely early tomorrow morning.
