This is pretty much a prompt I wrote when there were a bunch of theories out about episode 3x18 of Arrow. These theories were all about Felicity getting hurt in Central City while working with the Flash and the ATOM. With those in mind, I created this.

Oliver sat in Felicity's chair at the foundry, staring at her computer, silently wondering how she was, what she was doing. The thought of the love of his life with Ray Palmer made Oliver's blood boil with an almost uncontrollable rage.

"Do you wanna get something off your chest there, Oliver?" Dig's voice was heard from behind Oliver, and he turned, slightly irritated.

"What?"

"You look like you're trying to burn holes in that computer screen." John mused, a small smirk playing on his lips. Oliver said nothing in response. "You know, if you didn't want her to go, you could have stopped her."

"No, I couldn't have." Oliver growled back, the most intense glare in his blue eyes.

"Just-"

"John, we've had this conversation before. I just want her to be happy." Oliver dropped his head in his hand, growling in annoyance. "If that includes running after Palmer on his adventures than so be it!"

"Just tell her how you feel, Oliver." John suggested, making Oliver snap.

"I did, John! I'm not stupid enough to let it go on for this long, and not say anything!" At this point Oliver was on his feet, his fists clenched. "She's gone, Dig, I lost her!"

After Oliver did in fact get that off his chest, Dig fell silent, a sad look on his face, not bothering to argue with him. Suddenly, Oliver's phone rang, and he looked down, seeing it was Barry calling.

"Hello?" Oliver answered, wondering why Barry was calling, not that he was unhappy to get a call from the Scarlet Speedster.

"Oliver--" Barry started, sounding a little, off. "Um,"

"Barry, what's wrong?" Oliver tightened his grip on the phone, John getting up, a concerned look on his face.

"It- uh, the ATOM was here, in Central City, and-" Oliver clenched his jaw at the ATOM's name, knowing he was Ray Palmer in a high-tech suit of armour. "Oh, Oliver..." Barry seemed to be having issues speaking in proper sentences, but had something important and potentially bothersome to tell Oliver, nonetheless.

"What is it, Barry?"

"It's Felicity--"

"What happened?" Oliver demanded, his blood chilling his bones.

"There was an accident, with- with the ATOM--" Barry gasped, clearly upset. "Felicity got caught up in the mess. I ran her to Central Gen, she's there now."

"W-what? She's where?" Oliver stuttered, his heartbeat quickening.

"It- uh, just come, okay? Take the train."

"On my way." Oliver hung up, grabbing his jacket.

"What is it, Oliver?" Dig asked, worried.

"Felicity. She's at Central General right now, Barry says it doesn't look good. I have to go." Oliver murmured, jogging up the stairs to the main level of Verdant. He raced outside to his motorcycle, and jumped on it, driving as fast as he could to the train station.

...

"One ticket straight to Central City please." Oliver demanded when he arrived at the ticket booth, after he parked his bike.

"Yes sir." The ticket booth attendant printed his ticket, asking for thirty dollars. Oliver reached into his pocket, pulling out his wallet, handing him the appropriate amount in exchange for his ticket. "You're lucky, this is the last train into Central tonight." The attendant chuckled, and Oliver tried hard to look back pleasantly. "It's boarding in five minutes."

Oliver sighed in relief, happy that the mode of transportation wouldn't stand in the way of him seeing his love any more than necessary. Oliver went over and sat down on the wooden bench, sighing, pulling out his phone to text Barry.

To Barry Allen: I'm not gonna be there for at least an hour.

From Barry Allen: I'm really sorry Oliver.

To Barry Allen: Stop saying that! Was it your fault? I don't even know what happened yet!

From Barry Allen: I don't think this is something we should talk about over text.

Oliver growled in annoyance, dialling his number, bringing the phone to his ear.

"Barry, what happened to Felicity?" Oliver growled, not out of anger towards Barry, but out of extreme worry for Felicity.

"Felicity was helping the ATOM, and it malfunctioned, firing without him wanting it to, and it hit the wall around Felicity, and it came down on top of her."

"Oh my God, I'm gonna kill him." Oliver hissed with rage.

"Please don't!" Barry yelped, actually concerned Oliver would end Ray's life.

"Relax, Barry." Oliver growled, hearing 'Now Boarding, Central City', so Oliver stood and made his way over to the platform. "Train's here."

"Okay, I'll see you in a bit. I'm gonna go check on Felicity."

"Alright, let me know if there's any change." Oliver murmured back, frowning before hanging up, giving his ticket for checking and stepping onto the train.

...

Once in Central City, Oliver left the station, looking at a map. The hospital was seven blocks from where he was, so Oliver took off running as fast as he could, which was fast, though not as fast as Barry, obviously.

Oliver ran as though his life depended on it, and to him, it did. He needed to see Felicity, his Felicity. His best friend, his partner, the woman he was in love with, so deeply in love with, though it was unrequited as of yet.

Oliver's heart was pounding when he arrived in Central City General Hospital, and he stepped up to the front desk, where receptionists sat and typed away on their computers.

"Excuse me-- can you tell me where Felicity Smoak is?"

"Just a moment, young man." The elderly woman in blue replied, looking at her computer, typing something, presumably Felicity's name. "Ms. Smoak is in the ICU, on the sixth floor, room 63."

"The ICU?" Oliver repeated uncertainly.

"Yes sir."

"Thank you." Oliver jogged over to the elevators, pressing the button, and one of eight doors opened, and Oliver stepped inside, touching to "6" button.

The elevator was very fast, and Oliver was on the sixth floor in seconds. Oliver took a deep breath, stepping out of the elevator, unsure of what the floor had in store for him.
