I awoke in a cold sweat, tangled in the bedsheets of my new dorm room, my heart pounding like a relentless drum in the darkened silence. It was that nightmare again, the one that had haunted me ever since that fateful night when my life had taken a sinister turn.

In the depths of the night, Serenovia University's campus lay still, shrouded in a surreal quiet. For a moment, I just lay there, gasping for breath, trying to ground myself in the reality of my surroundings.

The dream had been vivid, as it always was. I saw myself as a child of twelve, innocent and unscarred by the horrors of the world. Moonlight bathed the room in an eerie glow, and I could hear the distant howling of wolves, an unsettling symphony in the darkness.

And then, he appeared—the creature that had stolen my voice and my innocence. His eyes, burning with hunger, had met mine, his face contorted with a predatory grin. Sharp fangs glinted in the moonlight as he leaned closer, and I could feel the terror grip my heart.

The flashback was relentless, like an old film reel replaying the darkest chapter of my life. I felt the searing pain as his fangs pierced my flesh, the coldness of the room as my blood drained away, and the desperate, futile struggle to break free from his grasp.

I had been left for dead that night, my voice silenced forever. But I had survived, my heart continuing to beat, my body forever changed. I had become one of them, a vampire.

The transformation had been both a curse and a blessing, a curse because it left me with a thirst for blood and a fear of my own instincts, and a blessing because it gave me the chance to escape the pain of my past and find a new beginning.

But the memories of that night, of the vampire who had stolen my voice, haunted me relentlessly. They were a reminder of the monster I had become.

Now, as I began my college journey in Serenovia, I hoped for a semblance of normalcy. But the nightmare persisted, the memory of that night refusing to fade. Little did I know that fate had other plans, that I was about to cross paths with Athena, a charismatic and enigmatic student whose own supernatural secret would lead me on a path of discovery, love, and a chance to find my voice once more.

The silence that had defined my life was about to be challenged by the whispers of destiny, setting into motion a love story that transcended the boundaries of the ordinary and the supernatural.
