He's back

I woke up confused. A bright light blinded me. Great. I was in a hospital.

" Hey babe, how ya feeling?" I heard Zayn's voice ask fragilely as if I were to a break any moment.

I blinked hard and looked at him. He had small bags under his eyes along with puffiness and redness. We both knew he had been crying but I didn't bring it up.

" Fine", I mumbled. " How long was i out?"

" Three days, the nurse should be in soon"

" W-what happened" I asked, not sure if I want to know the answer.

Zayn sighed pained to restate this. " Right after we got that weird text, you were in a daze sorta. I tried calling you name but it was like you couldn't hear a word. You scared the crap out of me. Don't. ever do that to me again babe, I'm going serious!"

I didn't know what to say. " Sorry.... You look really tired. When was the last time you slept?"

" Bri, how can I sleep when your in this condition?"

And yet again I had no idea what to say.

I heard the door open and close. I see a kid around my age walk through the door. He looked so familiar. Like I'd known him half of his life... then I realized I did.

" Jasper?" I managed to choke out.

" I'm back" his thick husky voice answered as he stared straight into my soul.
