The rain outside had finally abated, leaving the lush gardens surrounding Montague Manor glistening with moisture. 

Detective Aidan Blackwood had decided to explore the estate's gardens, hoping to uncover any clues that might shed light on the tangled web of secrets that had enshrouded the Montague family.

As he strolled through the verdant expanse, his gaze was drawn to a secluded alcove concealed by overgrown bushes. The detective's intuition led him to the hidden spot, and there, nestled amidst the tangled vines, he discovered a tattered journal.

Back in the grand study, Blackwood was joined by Amelia, Henry, and Jonathan, who had been curious about the discovery in the garden. The family members gathered around as the detective shared the contents of the journal.

Jonathan Montague nodded in agreement, his voice tinged with gravity.
