I was brought back to reality when I felt like someone was nudging me.
I didn't even know when this professor entered the classroom.
"Care to explain what's running on your head- that I had to call your attention multiple times?" she uttered and I immediately looked away, feeling embarrassed by the attention I'm getting.
I was just thinking of what I'll have for lunch later.
"I'm sorry, professor," was all I said.
Tiningnan niya lang ako at nagsimulang magsalita ulit.
"For those students who did not pay attention earlier, listen attentively now. This is a complete waste of time; however, I have left with no choice, but to reintroduce myself."
Napalunok ako dahil alam kong ako ang tinutukoy niya.
"I'm Professor Reese Morgan Velasco, your instructor for Technical Writing," simpleng pakilala niya.
"As I was saying, if you aren't interested in my class, you can just go out. I don't mind at all, as long as you won't be bothering me about your grades at the end of the semester," kalmadong saad niya.
She's like a talking robot. So oddly weird.
What if this university hired an artificial intelligence as a teacher?
What am I thinking about? A robot would never replace a teacher.
My gaze fixated on her perfectly brushed eyebrows. They complemented her almond-shaped eyes so well, and for some reason, I couldn't understand why this beautiful pair of orbs seemed so lifeless. I felt a tinge of regret. Her brunette, shoulder-length hair fit so well with her fair complexion. My eyes then traveled down to her nose, standing proudly in its place, and to her well-crafted, luscious lips that were perfectly sculpted by some divine being. Every feature on her face was undeniably shaped flawlessly, and placed in the right places. I couldn't even find the right words to describe how absolutely mesmerizing she looked.
I had never felt ugly my whole life until I laid my eyes on this woman.
She's a beauty, but definitely weird.
"Earth to Xyn," a soft voice uttered.
Naiah, our new found friend cutely waved her hand right in front my face.
"I'm sorry, what is it again?" agad kong tanong.
Cute.
