yerin pov.

i was sitting in the couch of my apartment , anxiously waiting for gyuvin to come back.

what was so important that gyuvin had to go meet up with hanni in real life, and in private? i was worried something happened.

"yerin noona, help me with this math question!" yujin yelled from the kitchen counter.

i sighed and decided to help him. it would take my mind off of things anyway.

"yujin, it's not that hard... just use the formula!" i started getting frustrated. i always get frustrated whenever i feel stressed.

"you're so bad at this yerin! you're supposed to multiply it . there's no formula." yujin smirked at me , feeling proud that he over-smarted me.

"whatever." i roll my eyes and go back to the living room. i was about to turn the tv back on, when i heard the ringing sound of the door opening from next door.

gyuvin must be back.

"yujin-ah! i'll be going out.  lock the doors!!" i told yujin. he gave me a loud 'HM' sound in reply.

i was now standing in front of gyuvin's door. what do i say? i stood there awkwardly for a moment before finally finding the courage to knock on his door.

i knocked on his door. it took around a minute for him to open up.

i saw his face, looking confused, and tired. "is hanni okay?" i asked him. honestly, i was more concerned for him, but i was too embarrassed to ask.

"oh yeah. she's fine." gyuvin replied, in an emotionless tone. "do.. you want to get in?" he opened the door a little wider.

i nodded and went in his apartment with small footsteps. "is anyone else here?" i asked gyuvin.

"nope, my parents are at work right now." gyuvin led me the way to the living room and brought me a cup of water.

once we got comfortable, i asked. "if you dont mind me asking, what were you and hanni talking about before..?"

"it's nothing." he assured me, but i didn't believe him.

at this point, i started getting sad and angry all at once. i know i shouldn't, but i cant help it. he kissed me two days ago, now he's keeping secrets with another girl who's supposed to be my best friend? maybe it is a mistake after all.

"gyuvin. two days ago... do you remember?" i said cautiously.

his eyes widened . "yeah. sorry about that btw"

my heart shattered into a million pieces. what was he sorry for? i was at my raging point. i felt embarrassed .

"are you serious?" i scoffed and pushed my hair back. my voice was barely stable.

"yerin. it's not a mistake. i promise you." gyuvin looked at me with teary eyes.

"you know i actually thought you liked me back after kissing me, but i guess i was just another one of your makeout sessions?" tears started dripping down my cheek without me even noticing. i didn't know why i got so emotional, it wasn't like we were official anyway.

gyuvin looked at me in shocked and sadness. "yerin it's not like that-"

"you didn't even try talking to me after that. you completely moved on and expected me to be okay with that? and now you're keeping secrets with my best friend. i'm sorry for thinking that we actually had something." i stormed out his apartment in embarrassment. how was i so dumb?

gyuvin pov

i was sitting with junhyeon, gunwook , hanbin and matthew during lunch break. not so far away from us were yerin and her friends. i glanced her direction from time to time, but i think she noticed. as well as the guys.

"if you guys are dating , just say so." hanbin put his palm on my shoulder.

"it's not that..." i let out a small sigh.

"OH? kim gyuvin got rejected by yerin?" gunwook looked at me shocked but also trying to hold in his laughter.

junhyeon slapped his back . "there's no way."

"we fought yesterday."

"about what?" they all said in sych.

"remember jeju? and how yerin and i got in trouble for coming back late? i kissed her, that night." matthew stood up in shock, his chair moving back and making a loud noise.

everyones eyes were darted at our table, including yerin and her friends.

"matthew shhh!!!" junhyeon pulled his arm down to make him sit again.

i continued. "anyways, two days later hanni said she had a crush on me. yerin asked me what it was about but i felt like i shouldn't tell her, for hanni's privacy. i guess yerin misunderstood the situation, and we had a tiny argument after that."

the table was quiet for a second. "wait, hanni likes you?" junhyeon said, jaw dropped.

"i know, it was suprising to me too. i feel bad." i looked down at the table.

"gyuvin. dont be a dumbass and choose the girl you really like. don't think about their feelings." hanbin looked at me , giving me a 'hwaiting!' pose.

"so you'll pick yerin right." junhyeon said

i looked at junhyeon for a second and paused . "of course. i just dont want hanni to feel more hurt than she already is."

"gyuvin-ah. think about yerin. hanni isnt the only one hurt. i mean you ignored her after kissing her, left her for some girl a few years ago when she was going to move australia, and now she thinks you're playing with her feelings. i'd honestly hate you if i were yerin." matthew spoke up

now that matthew pointed these out, i felt even more guilty. "thanks for the comforting words, matt." i looked at matthew with an innocent-like smile on my face.

yerin pov.

i was in the art room, looking for art supplies for my project. the door was left slightly open.

i took the paintbrushes and as i looked back, i heard a sound of a door closing. and there was kim gyuvin, right in front of the closed door.

"kim gyuvin. did you just close the door?" i said, in a serious tone.

he looked back at the door handle and looked at me, "yeah it's closed. why?"

"did you not see the sign outside ??!!" i was starting to panic. the door was broken, meaning if we closed it, it would be completely shut closed. i am now stuck in a room with a boy who played with my feelings.

gyuvin tried opening the door, but nothing was happening. no matter how hard he tried, it wouldn't budge.

i guess were stuck here until someone finds us and calls security.
