The apple of my eye

Brianna x Alex: My Best Friend crush (The OG couple that I have not touched in years. I have written about Brianna but I did kill Alex off really early on and then never used her again. This takes place when Alex is still alive okay, don't worry)

"Where are you taking me?" The girl who was currently blindfolded in front of me asked while giggling softly. I couldn't help but smile while I directed her in the direction I wanted her to go. I was taking my beautiful girlfriend out to go apple picking! It was an idea that came to mind after we were talking about all our favorite things about this Autumn season. She had told me that she had always wanted to go apple picking ever since she was younger but her parents had never allowed it. I swear most times I wish I could beat her parents up for how they treated her. They have given my girlfriend so much trauma that I have been trying to heal ever since we got together. 

"We are almost there, my love," I told her while safely maneuvering her over the fallen leaves and branches that littered the path. The last thing I would ever want would be for to trip while I was guiding her. Brianna huffed out in playful anger and I chuckled softly before planting a little kiss on her neck below her ear. 

"I promise you Brianna, you are going to love this. It will be worth all this secrecy" I told her to try and calm her nerves and she seemed to relax at my words. She trusts me and I have never done anything to break that trust, nor would I ever try to. We continued walking for a few more moments before finally arriving at the main gated entrance of the apple tree field. I grinned before gently taking the blindfold off of my stunning girlfriend and letting her open her eyes. I smiled wider once her gorgeous eyes locked with mine. We stared at each other for a few seconds before I stepped away and let her look around her surroundings. Brianna gasped once she took everything in before squealing in excitement. 

"We're apple picking?" She asked while turning back to look at me with wide, excited eyes and I nodded. Her smile was wider than I had ever seen it while she rushed over to me and attacked me into a hug. 

"You are the best Alex, I love you so much" She exclaimed while I pulled her in even closer. The bubbly feeling that always filled me when she hugged me like this reappeared and I could not help but feel all the joy in this moment. I knew that this would be an amazing idea. I continued to hug the love of my life for a few more amazing moments before pulling away and taking her hand in mine. 

"Okay, let's get to picking!" I declared which caused her to giggle before basically pulling me into the farm. Time to get apple picking! 

~Brianna POV~

This was probably one of the best days in my entire life. I had always wanted to go apple picking when I was a child but my mother always told me that it was a ridiculous wish. I remember we did try to go once but then they cancelled at the last minute. My father told me that it was because we had misbehaved and going apple picking was only for good children but I remember that I was only ever on my best behavior. Who would ever dare misbehave in my father's presence? I shook the thought out of my head while I watched my amazing girlfriend going around from tree to tree picking some of the best apples from the trees. I grinned while I watched how excited she looked at this moment. This whole day was to bring me joy but I couldn't help but watch how much joy this was bringing her. I wonder if she ever went apple picking while she was growing up? Alex does come from a more profitable family, maybe they never did these little things before. I smiled gently while watching the woman I love walk over to me with her basket filled with apples. 

"Why are you just standing over here, my love?" She asked me while wrapping her arms around my waist and I smiled while leaning into her. 

"I was just watching you. It always brings me immense joy just watching you have a good time" I explained to her while turning around in her arms. I wanted to see her face. Alex smiled at me before leaning down and capturing my lips into a gentle kiss. 

"It brings me joy when you're happy too Brianna. It's why I brought you here" She explained while taking my hands in hers and I smiled. 

"Thank you," I told her and she nodded before taking an apple out of her basket and grinning. 

"Of course, you are the apple of my eye after all," She said her corny joke while presenting the apple to me with a bright smile and I rolled my eyes before giggling and taking the fruit from her hands. 

"How long were you sitting on that joke?" I asked her once I had taken the apple from her and decided to take a bite of the delicious fruit. Alex chuckled in return. 

"Ever since I picked up the first apple. Come on it's a funny line and it's true" She defended her case and I shook my head before kissing her cheek. 

"You're lucky that I love you and your cheezy lines," I told her and she grinned before her eyes lit up. 

"Come on! I see that they are selling apple cider over there" She exclaimed before taking my hand and basically dragging me away toward the woman at the counter a bit away from us. I chuckled before letting her take the lead. Today has been one of the best. 

This one shot is really short okay. There is not much I can really write about apple picking and I really wanted to make the joke. It's such an Alex thing to do. I have gone apple picking before with my family, I mostly went to take some pictures of the trees and the apples and honestly, it was probably one of the best times I had, I loved how the pictures turned out that day. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed seeing Brianna and Alex once again. It's been a while. I will see you all in the next one-shot.
