Tony x Liam: Him/Us: The final chapter (I really shouldn't have called it the final chapter with how many more times I have written about these two)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Daddy, am I doing it correctly?" The little boy standing next to me while pouring some flour into a measuring cup asked me which caused me to look down at him. I looked over the amount of flour he had in his cup before nodding approvingly.
"Good job Julian! Now take that flour and pour it into the bowl and we should be ready to start this batch of candy corn cookies" I explained to him while adding the other ingredients needed for the cookies. The little boy grinned before slowly pouring the flour into the mix before I decided to let him mix them all together. Julian's smile widened while he started mixing. I watched my son mix the mixture like a pro for a few moments before getting back to work and getting the pans ready for these new cookies. I was buttering up the pan before the oven timer went off and I smiled. I quickly grabbed the oven mitt before making sure that Julian wasn't too close to the heat and opened the oven to take out the cookies.
"Woah, dad, these cookies look so cool!" The little boy exclaimed once he saw the cookies that were now done baking. I smiled at him before placing the tray down to let them cool off. I took the bowl that he had finished mixing before pouring the contents onto the tray and then shaping the cookies into little candy corn shapes. I continued to do this while Julian stood there watching the other cookies cool off. I knew that he was only waiting to take the first bite of the chocolate cinnamon skeleton cookies but it was still cute that he was standing there the whole time, I couldn't help but smile.
"Liam, my love, guess who I was just on the phone with" I suddenly heard the loud and excited voice of the man I loved more than anything in the world. I looked up at the handsome man who was smiling from ear to ear and practically bouncing with excitement. I chuckled softly before waiting for him to tell me what he wanted.
"The agency called and they have a little girl who needs a home. She was brought in last night, she's a little shaken up and they asked if we wanted to come down and meet her" Tony explained to me and my eyes widened while I dropped everything that I was currently holding. Was he serious right now?! There was a little girl for us? I could not believe what I was hearing. After months of talking about it with Tony and waiting for a call, this was finally happening, wasn't it? I can't believe there's actually a little girl who needs us. I watched as Tony's smile seemed to widen before I rushed over to him and kissed him. We were going to have a little girl! This was amazing!
"We're going to have a little girl! This is crazy!" I exclaimed once I pulled away from my husband and Tony nodded excitedly.
"Dad, why are you both cheering and crying?" We suddenly heard the little nine-year-old ask which caused Tony and I to separate and look over at him. How were we going to explain this to Julian? He did know that we have been open to adding someone to the family but the last time we talked about this with him, nothing was changing. Now everything could be changing and I don't know how he will take it. I sighed before walking over to him and crouching down to his level.
"Julian, remember when we told you that we were thinking about opening our home to another little boy or girl like your father and I did for you? Well, there's a little girl who was brought in last night and we were called to come meet her. Is that okay with you?" I explained to the little boy while making sure that he was okay with every step of this. The last thing I would ever want to do is bring a child into this house when Julian was not ready. He will forever be my little baby and I could never try to replace him and I hope he knows and understands that. Julian looked up at me and I could tell that he was processing my words and trying to fully grasp what this meant. Julian was a smart little boy so I knew that he understood what I was trying to say, I just hope that he was okay with this.
