I walked down the hallway turning into Jenna's room who lay in the hospital bed in a gown asleep. Im happy now that I chose to save her instead of going after that vampire woman.

Now she would have a chance to see her children grow up instead of dying from bleeding out on the ground. As soon as she wakes up i will mind link Conall my second in command to watch over her while I track down the vampire who had the nerve to attack a pregnant woman to save her own skin considering it was her fault breaking the truce make me have to hunt her down.

I glanced over when i heard Jenna's heart monitor flat line. I jumped up and pressed the emergency button then placed my hands over her chest to do chest compression. I heard the door burst up but i didn't look up until a nurse took over where my hands were and ushered me into the hallway as a machine was put in my place.

"Clear" was heard from the room then a thud this was repeat twice more but there was still no beeping from the monitor so when this was realized a doctor pulled the cover over her and wheeled the bed out of the room as the nurses and doctors dispersed from the room in grim silent to return to their work in different parts of the hospital.

I stood alone in silence struck by how quickly the situation had changed she had been fine a moment ago. I was pulled from my thoughts when i remembered the two little babies in the nursery now orphans. This caused me to turn and head to nursery window if i couldn't save their mother then the least I could do was take care of them.

I noticed a nurse walking this way."um excuse me but how do you adopt twins if say the mother die after birth?" The nurse thought for a moment the said"well first they go to the next living relative and of they can not be found then you could adopt the twins " having said that she set out to continue her own business. Hmm had no thought of that but we don't know the next living relative or her last name for that after all there are a lot of women with the name Jenna in Nevada. I took one last look at the twins before setting off to find Miles who was on his lunch break now.

Now I speed walked toward the lunch cafeteria where i saw him near the back side of the room eating his lunch. Seeing me walk in he waved I sat down next to him seeing that he was still happy meant he had not found out about Jenna. I sat back watching him eat when he was down we went into the hall and told him what had happened and he looked as devastated as felt.

I looked down because I truly hated being the bearer of bad news."Sigh" looked up to see Dr Miles had a pained look on his face" I think know why "he said sadly. I stared at him confused. "When the vampire bit her some venom must the got in"he explained "If only I had known about the venom I could have removed it." "Wait," I suddenly said "what about the twins could the venom have reached them." The look of knowing horror told me my answer.

Then I remember my other question "Did Jenna have any living relative..." I paused " because I plan to adopt them." Miles looked surprised "Well no we found no living relative and are sure because we can't be sure the vampire venom didn't reach them." He answered "it is a risk I'm willing to take" growled back strongly by now we had walked right to the nursery window. I looked in to see them being fed by two nurses. No matter how long or whatever happens I will look after them I thought.

A poke brought me out of my thoughts to see Dr. Miles holding some papers."Nigel i just found out why Jenna died" he said "it seems she had a werewolf ancestor and i had the papers for adoption for you." "Thank."was all I could say for I was overblown by this that means they could join my pack one day maybe. So with that I began the adoption papers .

Well that was great i fill so proud of myself

Also when I finish this book i may add more to it
