Granolah wakes up in a room, unfamiliar to him. He gets out of the bed and looks around, seeing a picture of Goten with Gohan and Chichi. As the picture reminds him of the family he lost, he cracks a smile, then makes his way downstairs. When he walks outside, he sees Goten meditating in the front. As Granolah slowly approaches, Goten smiles.
"You're finally awake, It's been four days since the fight with Hatchiyack."
Granolah rubs the back of his neck and sits next to Goten.
"It's been awhile since I've slept like that. I appreciate your hospitality."
Goten smiles at Granolah.
"Don't mention it. It did take a lot of convincing from my mom though."
Granolah then looks around and up at the sky, feeling nostalgic at the sight of it all.
"You know, I didn't notice it before... But this planet is pretty beautiful. It almost reminds me of Planet Cereal." Granolah says.
Goten looks at the Cerealian enthusiastically.
"What's Planet Cereal like?" Goten asks.
For the first time in a long time, Granolah feels genuine excitement thinking about his home planet and smiles. Granolah shares stories that happened on Cereal, the two sharing laughs over the stories. Chichi then walks outside and sees this, smiling at the two bonding with each other. Soon she then steps outside, approaching the two boys.
"Alright you two, dinners ready." Chichi says with a smile.
Goten jumps to his feet and walks towards the house, but he soon notices Granolah is still sitting in the same place.
"You coming, or what?" Goten asks.
Granolah looks confused for a moment.
"She did say us two." Goten says.
Granolah smiles, slowly standing to his feet and joins Goten inside the house.
At the table, while Goten is devouring the food like only a Saiyan can, Granolah eats slowly and neatly, savoring the food.
"Thanks for the meal." They both say as they finish eating.
Chichi giggles.
"You both are welcome. Glad that my son brought someone with some manners." Chichi says, making Granolah blush.
"So Granolah, what are you going to do now?" Goten asks.
Granolah thinks for a moment, not consumed by his vengeance anymore, free of the guilt and burden of his peoples death.
"Honestly, I'm not sure. For as long as I could remember, all I wanted was revenge. To bring justice to my people... But now, it feels like I can finally let go of my grudge against the Saiyan's. I can finally be at peace." Granolah says.
As Goten smiles, Granolah soon thinks of something and soon stands up from his chair
"There is something I have to take care of." Granolah says.
Later on, Granolah is outside preparing to leave Earth while Goten is with him to say his goodbyes.
"You sure you don't want to stay here on Earth? I'm sure everyone would love to have you here." Goten says.
Granolah smiles.
"I appreciate the offer, but I think my place is elsewhere."
The two then share a handshake with each other.
"I wish we met under different circumstances, but I am glad I met you, Son Goten. Maybe our paths will cross again." Granolah says.
Goten grins.
"Of course. We're friends now. Besides we have another sparing match again."
Granolah is surprised.
"You want to fight again?" Granolah asks.
"Of course. Our last fight was fun... You know, besides you trying to kill me." Goten says.
The two share a chuckle.
"Until we meet again, Saiyan." Granolah says.
Goten waves.
"See ya around, Cerealian." Goten says.
Granolah gets into his spaceship and flies off while Goten smiles.
Days later, Granolah lands on his home planet Cereal. When he steps outside, and takes a deep breath, not being there for years. He then walks around, soon standing infront of the graves of his people, including his mother. He kneels down infront of his mother's resting place and bows.
"I have a lot of things to tell you, mother. I came face to face with the remaining Saiyans... I couldn't kill them... For so long, I've held onto the rage and anger that was inside me. It's what kept me going all these years. But it's also what kept me away from here- from you. I hope you can understand... I think its time I let go of the past- finally start living my life...Please be okay with that."
After a moment of silence, Granolah feels a hand on his shoulder, that comforts him. He quickly turns around and sees an image of his mother smiling at him, causing tears to form in his eyes. When the image fades away, Granolah stands to his feet, wipes his tears away and looks towards the horizon with a smile.
