Starting with SugaKage because I owe a sgkg chapter and no, I haven't abandoned it, it's in process, but I write first on my notebook then pass them here (I do proofreading that way) and with every 1k word written on the notebook, I somehow end up adding 500 here. So I end up with almost double the words 😭

This will very likely be less than 1k words each because 1, I'll be writing them straight off Wattpad and 2, I will probably not proofread, hence no words added. So I would appreciate any constructive criticism, positive feedback and honest opinions (without being rude, please).

No warnings for this chapter other than maybe cringe? I am honestly making up the story as I go while listening to anime music. Again, honest opinions on every chapter so I can know what I need to be better on and fix. So, without further ado, I hope you enjoy ^^

"Bakayamaaaa!!" and then a crash and what sounds like flesh hitting flesh. That's what Kageyama wakes up to on this fine morning.

And yes, while the morning may be fine (not too cold nor too hot, warm enough that you don't shiver but chilly enough that you don't sweat), Kageyama is certainly not fine. Hasn't been for 4 days now.

On Tuesday, after night practice, just as Kageyama was leaving the clubroom, it started pouring. It was raining so hard you couldn't see 5 feet in front of you. And yeah, Kageyama could've waited for it to maybe lighten a bit, but it had been almost 11, all the other players had already left, and the chances that it would've stopped soon were very low.

And no, he didn't have an umbrella. He never carries one around. Some people may say that's stupid and unconventional, since look at him now! He needs an umbrella and he doesn't have one. But, truly, Kageyama thinks the real unconventional thing is carrying a 3 feet tall umbrella everywhere. It's a hindrance and besides, what's an umbrella gonna do in this rainstorm?

(It wasn't actually a rainstorm, given that there was no lighting and he heard only 1 thunder, but it was raining cats and dogs, so he felt that name adequate)

So Kageyama went running home without any kind of coverage. When he entered his home, he was soaking wet. Absolutely dripping wet from the top of his head to the tip of his feet. He stood there for less than 5 minutes and there had already been a puddle forming underneath him, and his bag wasn't faring much better.

He had gone to bed without showering (big mistake) not even drying himself, changing his clothes nor covering himself with the blankets (even bigger mistake). When he awoke the next day, he felt he was dying, he only had the energy to bathe in warm water, dressing, before dropping dead on the bed again.

He's been bedridden every since, sporting a 44°c fever. He only stood for the bathroom and medicine, he's only eaten maybe three things in the course of these four days.

And now, on a, supposed to be, quiet morning, someone, or someones, decided to make an unprompted visit. There's a "Quiet, he may be sleeping!" from a nervous voice (maybe Asahi-san's), then his door starts to open slowly.

As more light filters in, he can see more of who decided to come. And now he realizes that the previous voice belonged to Yachi-san (he's worse than he thought hpif he managed to confuse an-almost man's voice with that of a meek girl's).
