A week after hearing about Jenna Moore's illness, I decided to stay at home on Thursday , told the school I wasn't feeling well, nor was Rosemary, so I did what I usually do on a normal day.

I was cooking with all what's still good in the kitchen, while my darling rosemary played outside, we had a swing attached to a large tree We had it close to the cliff..

our house was on a mountain, close to Paris, and the tree near the cliff was the only sturdy tree we had that I could tie the ropes of the swing on, so I called over someone, not giving any further info, to add a fence, I felt it was risky, but it's what she wanted.

She came back inside in a hurry. "Mom!!" She was in fear, she got behind the counter and hid. "Honey, what's the matter?" I said concerned.

"There's a man outside.." when she finished her sentence I rushed over, looking out the window, it's a man, wearing a formal outfit, he was approaching the front door, I'm sure he noticed me staring from the window, I lost focus, I was thinking of my husband, Janette, and Jenna, I was.. petrified, but why??

I felt like I knew this man, Then I heard a knock, I knew I had to open the door, but my heart, it was beating so fast, it's like I have.. committed something, something I was against, but proud of.

I slowly walked towards the door, and unlocked it, I saw the man face to face, I felt like I was going to fly away, it was horrific, for me somehow, he took his hat off and introduced himself as the famous investigator, Charles Moore, he was also Jenna Moore's younger brother, he was investigating her disappearance.

I don't remember being shocked, it was like I knew about it, but I acted as if I never heard, why? I'm also not sure.

I sat him down at the living room, and went to the kitchen to ready up some tea, I felt like he had a lot to talk about, and now I was certain I had done something, I wanted to earn this investigator's trust, I had to, I needed to.

After some time I came back to him with the tray of tea and biscuits, he spoke about how he knew, that Jenna was my daughter's piano teacher, and thought of asking me some questions, I gulped, choking on my words. "But sir Charles, she hasn't visited ever since she told me about her illness." I said with no feeling of remorse. But as soon as he replied. "I still have to question you Lady Lumer. It's not of suspicion, just what I have to do." I knew I was a culprit, my reaction.. was not of innocence.

I wanted to get rid of this man.. before I could say anything, rosemary came up to me and asked if she could go play outside, I looked at Charles, waiting for a sign of an agreement, he nodded his head.

I whispered. "Yes honey, just don't go too far." I giggled. Charles asked me a question, after my daughter left. "Are you aware that the branch you attached the swing on, was flawed?" I was not surprised somehow, I told him. "I'm sure you've got it wrong, that tree is tough, it could hold." Why did I say that, why? Do I not worry about her safety? He continues asking me unbelievable questions about his sister, but he saw in me no guilt, maybe I actually wasn't, but I am not certain if I was.

The investigator stood up, he was about to leave, as I heard a scream from outside.. it was Rosemary, my heart was beating so fast, it was that strong feeling of fear again, no, I wasn't afraid of what must've happened happened to her.. it was a fear of what will happen to me.

Charles ran out the door as fast as he could, hoping nothing went wrong, but I stood there, I froze, I knew about this, I knew this would happen!

Why didn't I care enough to stop this from happening?? But.. what did happen, I slowly walked outside to check, the investigator was standing Infront of the fence, the tree branch had fell, she was playing with the swing.. wasn't she? there was blood all over the place.

... Rosemary?
