Anyway I got the inspiration for this story after i went to my first concert, being the kickoff tour of the Church of the Wild Ones tour. Changed my life. and as i listened to the CD Wretched and Divine over and over and over (....and over and over and over Xp) a story started developing in my head. One that i started having dreams about and couldn't stop thinking about. So finally i decided to put it out there and see what people think.
Little bit of insight into the thinking of the story. I somehow came up with this story by semi crossing the game Fallout3 and the album Wretched and Divine. In this adaptation, F.E.A.R (who was once the ruler of a very popular church group) is now the ruler of a city, called Eden, in which people of the aristocracy live. This story takes place roughly ten to fifteen years after the world was plunged into an apocalypse cause by nuclear warfare. F.E.A.R has brainwashed thousands of people and made them to believe that beyond the walls of their beloved city, lies nothing but radioactive fields, monsters, and Mutated humans who ignored F.E.A.R's warning of the apocalypse. F.E.A.R will do anything to keep the trust of his beloved, brainwashed citizens and keep them believe the happy fairy tale lie he's fed them. He wants nothing but power, and to have every last human fall to their knees...praising his name.
Enter the Rebels, or Legionites. A village of humans, living off the scraps of whats left of the world. Those who fight F.E.A.R and his tyranny. These people know the truth, they know that everything F.E.A.R says is nothing but religious garbage. They believe in trusting what your eyes can see, and what your gut tells you. A society of highly intelligent people living harmoniously with no real form of government. The only real "leaders" of this village are the Wild Ones. A group of men who fight for honor, freedom, and for what is right. Much like a Robin Hood type situation, they steal what supplies they can from Eden and give everything to the people of their village, keeping nothing for themselves. Their only hope, it to someday open the eyes of F.E.A.R's subjects and show them the truth. And put a stop to F.E.A.R's religious, power driven dictatorship.
Well that's the rundown, just so when you start reading you're not entirely confused haha
