-Days later-

We (my brothers and our mom, Maria) are waiting at the airport for our cousin, Connor and his parents...not sure why they all of a sudden want to up and leave Boston but whatever...

"Desmond, can you check their flight?" I nodded and walked over to the electronic board that hung on the wall just a few feet away.

"Boston...in sight...says it should land soon..." I said to myself then walked back.

"So?" Asked mom.

"It's in sight, says it should be landing soon." she nodded and I sat down, Ezio giving me a look that I often dread seeing. A cross between love and the want to torture me. I grimaced and swallowed.

"Hey Des-des...want to get a drink with me and Altair?" I looked to our mom who nodded, handing me five dollars in order to buy her a soda. The three of us stood and walked to a vending machine and bought soda. I got Dr.Pepper and so did Altair. I got my mom a Pepsi while Ezio shifted from leg to leg trying to decide what to get and I just sighed heavily...I honestly don't see this really working out. I mean are Connor and his parents staying at a hotel? I'd hope so. There is only one guest bed and it...it's Clay's for when he gets back.

"Hey Des." I looked up to Altair.

"Yeah?"

"Why are you thinking about that so much?" I tried my best not to look confused but it was a fail attempt, "Clay and everything else. Are you that worried about Clay?" I nodded.

"I just...we were pretty close in the summer."

"I know and you don't want to replace one cousin with another but that's not what's happening here. And don't worry, you'll like Connor. He's pretty chill." I nodded again.

"Ok-"

"Come on! I know you guys like reading each other’s minds but the plane has landed!" Yelled Ezio and people looked at him confused but then after looking at us they got the "reading each other’s minds" bit.

"Fine, we're coming." We both said in unison.

"So," Began Ezio as we were starting to walk back, "What do you think they will be like?"

"I've Skyped Connor," said Altair, "He's normal...normal as in one of our family members."

"And his parents?"

"He said his mom is awesome...not sure about his dad..."said Altair.

"That's normally bad, dude...I mean what if he's like dad!?" said Ezio with a scared expression.

"Then we all just disappear...shouldn't be too hard for us." said Altair as we stood waiting for them to show.

"Boys what are you all planning?"

"Nothing, mom." we all said with extremely honest and innocent expressions. We all fell silent then patiently waiting when out of nowhere they appeared. A fairly tan Native American woman who I knew to be our aunt Ziio. Her hair pulled back into a braid and her deep brown eyes scanning the crowd and locking with mine. I would have been terrified if a warm smile hadn't swept onto her face as she turned back around and motioned for someone(s) to hurry up.

"Maria!" mom smiled and they both hugged one another warmly. All three of us looking at them only to turn to who I assumed to be Connor's dad right in our face.

"Boys." we all gave low almost inaudible "hi's" and he just laughed and then turned to Connor who was now behind him.

"You should all introduce yourselves." said Mom.

"Altair, but then you already know that, Connor." Connor gave a nod.

"I'm Ezio." he said it with one of those overly "cocky" grins and I felt myself shudder just as all eyes met mine.

"I'm Desmond. It's really nice to meet more of our family." I said as I outstretched a hand which he took and then proceeded to shake.

"I'm Connor Kenway."

"He'll fit right in Haytham." all three of them laughed but I saw the shift in Altair...something is wrong, but what is the problem.

"How's Boston?" asked Ezio suddenly.

"Cold." came Connor's voice in a monotone.

"Then you'll like Black hills..." joked Altair flatly. We followed out to the lugguge pick-up and grabbed their stuff. Then in not too much time went to the car and drove back home...wonder how this will go.
