Beomgyu's life had been thrown into disarray by the peculiar behavior of his fake boyfriend, Taehyun. Over the past few days, Taehyun had grown inexplicably clingy, an enigma that left Beomgyu both bewildered and intrigued.
It had started innocently enough. Taehyun would always sit right next to Beomgyu during meals, their shoulders brushing. He'd watch Beomgyu paint with an intensity that bordered on fascination, offering compliments and suggestions. Even during their college classes, Taehyun seemed reluctant to leave Beomgyu's side.
Beomgyu didn't complain. In fact, he enjoyed the extra attention from him. But he couldn't help but wonder what was behind Taehyun's sudden change in behavior.
One chilly evening, after a particularly grueling day at college, things took a dramatic turn. Beomgyu and Taehyun had returned to their shared apartment, fatigue tugging at their every step. Instead of their usual routine, Taehyun halted abruptly in the dimly lit hallway.
Before Beomgyu could react, Taehyun had grabbed him by the waist, his touch firm and possessive, and pushed him against the wall. Beomgyu's breath caught in his throat, his heart racing as he looked into Taehyun's intense eyes.
In that moment, Taehyun's lips descended upon Beomgyu's skin, leaving a trail of warm, eager kisses that ignited a fire deep within Beomgyu. Desire surged between them, an unspoken understanding that simmered beneath the surface for far too long.
Beomgyu's hands moved to tangle in Taehyun's hair, his body pressing closer, lost in the passionate whirlwind that had overtaken them. The hallway became their haven, and the world outside ceased to exist.
But as the intensity grew, threatening to consume them entirely, Taehyun's phone rang, shattering the moment like glass. He pulled away abruptly, his expression filled with regret.
"Sorry," Taehyun muttered, his voice laced with frustration and guilt. "I shouldn't have done this."
Before Beomgyu could respond, Taehyun was already moving away, his steps quick and determined. He grabbed his car keys and left the apartment without another word, leaving Beomgyu standing there, stunned and abandoned.
Beomgyu couldn't comprehend the sudden shift in Taehyun's behavior. He felt a confusing mix of emotions—desire, confusion, and a tinge of heartbreak. It was as if a door had been opened, and then swiftly slammed shut.
Feeling lost and hurt, Beomgyu decided to confide in his older brother, Soobin. He picked up his phone and dialed Soobin's number, hoping for some guidance and comfort.
Soobin answered after a few rings, his voice warm and concerned. "Hey, Beomgyu, what's going on?"
Beomgyu took a deep breath, his voice trembling as he recounted the events of that fateful evening with Taehyun. He poured out his confusion and pain, describing Taehyun's sudden passionate advances and equally sudden departure.
When he finished, there was a moment of silence on the other end of the line. Soobin's voice, when it came, was filled with anger on behalf of his little brother. "I really don't like him Beomgyu. I have a feeling he went to that ex you mentioned earlier."
Beomgyu gulped, his heart shattering at the words as there was a still part of him he couldn't reveal. He knew that Soobin saw Taehyun as nothing more than a douche boss, and Beomgyu wasn't ready to disclose the burgeoning feelings he had developed for Taehyun.
"Just stop this work Beom." Soobin said, sighing. "You were fine with me and Yeonjun. Please come back."
Beomgyu didn't say anything back. He cut the call and slid down the wall, sitting with his head between his legs. He put a hand on his heart that was beating loudly.
"Stupid feelings" he whispered. "Stupid Taehyun."
