Husband!Chris Evans x Wife!Reader + Daughter
The sun was setting, painting the sky in a myriad of warm hues as Chris Evans and his wife, y/n, strolled hand in hand toward the quaint ice cream parlor at the heart of their small town. Gracie, their 9-month-old daughter, nestled comfortably in her stroller, her bright eyes gleaming with anticipation.
Y/n couldn't help but smile at the sight of Gracie, her little fingers waving in excitement. "Looks like someone's ready for some ice cream," she mused, leaning down to press a gentle kiss on Gracie's button nose.
The tinkling of the bell signaled their arrival at the parlor, and a rush of cool air greeted them as they stepped inside. The smell of freshly made waffle cones wafted through the air, making their mouths water in anticipation.
Y/n glanced over at Chris, a playful glint in her eye. "I think it's safe to say we're all a little excited for this."
Chris chuckled, his eyes twinkling. "You've got that right."
After a few minutes of contemplation and sampling different flavors, they finally settled on their favorites. Y/n held a double scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough, while Chris opted for a classic mint chocolate chip.
As they settled into a cozy corner booth, Gracie's eyes widened at the sight of the colorful frozen treats. Her tiny hands reached out, trying to grasp at the tantalizing swirls of ice cream.
"Mama Mama, me creemm ah," Gracie babbled, her eyes fixed on the ice cream with utmost determination.
Y/n laughed softly, her heart swelling with love. "Alright, sweetie. Let's get you some."
With careful precision, y/n scooped a small amount of vanilla onto the tip of a tiny plastic spoon. She brought it to Gracie's eager lips, watching in delight as her daughter's eyes widened with surprise at the cold sensation. She let out a squeal of joy, and her tiny tongue darted out to lick the sweet treat.
Both Chris and y/n's hearts melted at the sight. It was a moment they knew they'd treasure forever.
Chris, unable to resist, leaned over and whispered to Gracie, "Sweetheart, can dada get some?"
Gracie paused, her big blue eyes locking onto her daddy's face. She then raised her tiny index finger and shook it from side to side, a clear and resounding "no."
Y/N burst into laughter, her heart warming at the adorable exchange. She looked at Chris and said, "Well, it looks like she's not Dada's girl anymore. She's ice cream girl."
Chris couldn't help but grin at the playful banter. He leaned over to give Gracie a gentle kiss on the forehead and whispered, "That's alright, sweetheart. I'll always share my ice cream with you."
As the afternoon turned into evening, the place began to fill with families enjoying their own moments of togetherness. The distant sounds of children's laughter echoed through the air, creating a symphony of happiness.
Y/N turned to Chris, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "You know, I think Gracie might be onto something. Maybe we should start a new family tradition—ice cream Saturdays?"
Chris raised an eyebrow, his smile growing wider. "I like the sound of that. And I'm sure Gracie would be more than happy to be the official taste tester."
Just as they were about to head back home, Gracie, still nestled in her mother's arms, let out a tiny yawn, her eyes beginning to droop.
"It looks like someone's had quite the eventful day," Chris observed, his voice soft.
Y/N gently rocked Gracie, her heart swelling with love for the tiny bundle in her arms. "Yes, it's been a day full of firsts, hasn't it?"
They made their way back to the car, Gracie already drifting into a peaceful slumber. As they drove home, the setting sun painted the sky in shades of pink and orange, casting a warm glow over the town.
Back in the comfort of their home, they tucked Gracie into her crib, her tiny fingers curled around a plush teddy bear. As they stood side by side, watching their daughter sleep, Chris leaned over and whispered, "Today was perfect"
Y/N leaned into him, resting her head on his shoulder. "Yes, it was," she replied, her heart swelling with a mixture of contentment and love.
And with that, they left the room, knowing that they were creating a tapestry of memories that would be cherished for a lifetime.
