Daya knocked on Bosco's bedroom door a few nights later, a movie in her hands. She was slowly making progress with her roommate. Bosco had started to talk a little more, but still seemed to have a habit of locking herself away in her room. Daya was determined to show that she was someone she could be comfortable around. She didn't have to hide.

Bosco opened the door with a tired expression on her face. "Hm?" She rubbed her eyes.

Daya held the movie up to her. "Do you want to watch The Land Before Time with me?" She asked a little nervously. "If I watch it alone I start to cry. And you've kinda been studying non stop and I thought you'd like a break."

Bosco wasn't expecting that to be what she needed. She had a feeling she knew what Daya was doing. The girl always seemed to make an effort to include her in things, having even invited her to hang out with her and her friends after her classes just that morning. Bosco had declined, but had regretted it after. Because she could feel herself wanting nothing more than to be closer to Daya.

She glanced back towards her desk, where her textbook was open and waiting for her. "Um..."

"Please?" Daya said, looking at her with an expression that made Bosco's breath hitch. She couldn't say no to that face. Not the pleading puppy eyes.

Especially when it was Daya making them.

"O-Okay." She gave in, nodding a little. "Maybe just this one time."

Daya beamed, and Bosco felt her heart melt. "Thank you-" The taller girl said, taking Bosco's hand to take her to the living room. The other girl thought her heart would stop as she looked down at where they touched. Daya's hold was gentle and her hands were soft. Bosco didn't want to let go.

But Daya had to so she could put the movie on. Bosco settled down on the couch, continuing to look down at the hand that she had held and wondering when exactly she had taken a night off from studying. She couldn't remember.

"It's not long, I promise." Daya said as she grabbed the remote and sat on the other end of the couch. She placed Jeepers beside her. "I won't keep you away from studying for too long."

Bosco gazed at her, unable to stop herself from taking in just how pretty her roommate was. "You can distract me as long as you'd like..."

Daya looked over at her, tilting her head and giggling a little. "I'll keep that in mind."

Bosco blushed, quickly looking away. She didn't find it fair that Daya could make her feel this way. She kept her head low as the movie started to play, not wanting Daya to notice.

Daya was silent for a bit, paying attention to the movie playing on the TV in front of them before her gaze wandered to Bosco. She couldn't help but scoot just a little closer. "Bosco?"

Bosco snapped out of her thoughts, looking up at Daya again. "W-What?"

Daya's gaze softened. "You um...you look sad a lot. Like most of the time. Is there something wrong? Or bothering you?"

Bosco had a feeling that asking her to watch the movie was a way for Daya to ask stuff like this without being intimidated. She hesitated, finding that the girl had moved a little closer. "Nothing's bothering me." She eventually said. "I just...um..."

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." Daya assured her, pulling Jeepers into her lap. "I just want you to be okay."

Bosco felt her heart clench. She was used to only Camden saying stuff like that, and sometimes she doubted that she meant it and questioned if she only said that because she felt like she had to. But hearing Daya say it made her want to cry.
