Smut Warning. Kinda cute though, they're just a little awkward
----"You'll really go with us this weekend?" Daya asked excitedly as her and Bosco walked up to the door of their apartment together. She was trying not to think about how domestic it felt.
Bosco nodded, grabbing her keys from her bag. "Yeah. But I'm telling you now, I'm not going to be very good at it."
Daya had somehow convinced Bosco to go ice skating with her and her friends the next day. They had of course teased her by making it sound like she was asking Bosco out on a date, but she was trying her best not to think of it that way. This was just her inviting Bosco to hang out, nothing more and nothing less.
"That's okay, I'm not very good at it either." Daya said as the smaller girl unlocked the door. "But I can still catch you if you fall."
Bosco blushed, stepping inside and glancing back at her. "Are you flirting again?"
"Yeah." Daya giggled as she followed her and closed the door behind them. "Is it working?"
"Yes. Yes it is." Bosco admitted, setting her bag down on the table and letting out a deep breath. Her shift at the coffee shop felt like it just dragged on. She was more than happy to be back home with Daya.
Daya tilted her head a little when she heard. "You okay?" She asked, wanting to reach out to cling to her but not wanting to come across as clingy. Even though she felt like she already did.
Bosco nodded, moving to the whiteboard on the fridge to start checking off the tasks she had completed. "I'm fine. My shift just felt long today."
Daya watched her, glancing at the unchecked dinner box. "Do you want me to make you something?" She offered. "I wouldn't mind."
"You don't have to do that." Bosco told her, placing the marker down and turning to face her. "We can order something, I'm sure you've had a long day too."
"Yeah, but your job is harder than mine." Daya set her bag next to Bosco's and opened it up. "I did steal a book from a kid today though."
Bosco raised a brow, leaning against the kitchen counter. "You...stole a book from a kid?"
"Well, I didn't technically steal it. I just snatched it while he wasn't looking." Daya pulled out a big book covered in dinosaurs. "There's a big Spinosaurus poster inside that I want. A kid wouldn't appreciate it as much."
"Why didn't you just take the poster out then?" Bosco questioned.
"Because I can cut out the dino pictures and stick them all over my walls." Daya said as if that was the most obvious thing in the world. "I love them."
Bosco had to smile, gazing at her from where she stood. Seeing Daya so happy when she talked about the things she liked made her melt. "You're adorable." She said softly. "But don't get in trouble for stealing books."
Daya giggled again, keeping the book on the table as she walked over to Bosco. "I won't. But you think I'm adorable?"
"I do." Bosco answered, feeling her heartbeat pick up the pace when Daya draped her arms over her waist. This was all so new and different. She kind of wanted more.
Daya smiled and leaned her head down against her shoulder, letting out a content sigh. "Do you work tomorrow morning?" She asked.
Bosco did have to work in the morning. She was supposed to go ice skating with Daya and her friends after her shift, but the thought of having Daya all to herself for just one whole morning was too tempting. So she shook her head. "No, why?"
