Your love has sustained me.
Your arms wrapped around,
This frail,
Disheveled core.
It could not survive.
As it pumped a symphony
Of molecules,
These Atoms.
You caused it to dance like,
The sun upon petals,
On the seas shore.
You.
Yet I choose what was never for me.
As I cried for something more.
And like a lover,
In desperate tears you wished,
To win me over.
But I preferred what,
Never existed.
That would fall like sand,
Between my fingers.
Forgive me.
As I now begin to understand.
It was not worth it.
None of it was worth it.
And even as I turn to run back to your arms.
You smile to embrace me forever more.
