Pulling up to the house after dropping Carlos off, Carlos was surprised when Lexa hugged him goodbye, and Mick gave him her work number if required. Letting Ben run inside to pack, Mick and Lexa follow behind him where Olive and Cal immediately hug them before heading upstairs to have a twin talk about the callings.
Sitting down in the living room together, Lexa curls up contently and cuddles up to Mick.
"Are they over, the callings from today?" Mick whispers to Lexa.
"I hope so. They make me tired." Lexa yawns as Grace and Ben argue upstairs in their bedroom.
"I bet. Two callings at the same time, must have been exhausting."
"I'm sorry." Lexa suddenly sighs upset as the argument gets louder upstairs.
"Let's go to the basement." Mick suggests before getting up. Happy when Lexa takes her hand, Mick sends a quick message to Grace to tell Ben they are in the basement. Once in the basement, Mick lifts Lexa into her arms and hugs her. Shifting over to the couch, Mick sits down with Lexa on her lap, "Why are you 'sorry', honey?" Mick whispers.
"It's my fault for Ben and Grace being mad at each other. It's my fault for you and Ben being mad at each other. It's my fault for having two callings at one time. It's my fault for everything." Lexa cries upset and blaming herself.
"Whoa, honey, nothing is your fault for all of that, first of all. The callings are out of your control, and my own for that matter. You solved the callings and needed my help – that is not your fault. As for the arguing between Ben and Grace, in truth that is on both of them. All best relationships have arguments. Ben and Grace need to set up callings boundaries now that they are happening to us.
"As for Ben and I, it's not at all your fault. It's partially mine because I kept the secret for so long. You are innocent in all of this. The callings are to blame, for having two at one time, but at the same time you helped Carlos and helped bring me peace. That's all that I wanted so much. You personally gave me the strength and courage to start driving again. You brought me the peace, Lexa."
Hearing Lexa's sniffles, Mick hugs her tightly, "Thank you, Lex. I can't say it enough times." Feeling Lexa hide her face into her shoulder Mick says one last thing, "You are the bravest and most beautiful little angel, Lexa. I'm grateful to call you mine, and at the same time, never give you up."
"Thank you, mommy." Lexa blushes as she cuddles into Mick, "I'm lucky to have you." As they share a hug, Mick wipes the tears away from Lexa's cheeks.
"I'm lucky to have you too." Mick smiles before checking the time to find a text message from Ben.
I'm sorry for everything. Grace won't forgive me yet, but when she's ready I will continue to fight to be a family. I'm ready to leave and will be in the living room.
"Ben is in the living room waiting for us. Let's head home." Mick comments before carrying Lexa up the stairs. Arriving upstairs and into the living room, Ben packed two duffel bags full of clothes and chargers for his phone and computer, while his computer is in his bag with his phone, "Ready to go?" Mick asks gently since it is getting late.
"Yes." Ben answers as he grabs his two semi-heavy duffel bags. As Mick unlocks her car, she buckles Lexa up while Ben loads the bags next to Lexa in the seat next to her. Once finished, the two siblings climb into Mick's SUV. Immediately buckling up after closing and locking the doors, Mick slowly backs out of the driveway.
Arriving to their home, Mick parks her car before turning the engine off. Once Mick has Lexa in her arms and everything from the car, Mick locks up once Ben has his three bags in his arms. Leading the way up, Lexa sleeps in Mick's arms, but Mick is forever grateful for Grace getting Lexa's school supplies and clothes needed.
