The car ride out to where the crash happened is silent. I look over the notes multiple times, while Erika sketches the lady that Korel described. I try to picture what I think she would look like. Every time I do I just think of a girl I saw on one of the Warped Tour days. But it was the first day I had gone on tour. The girl was just standing around like any other kid there. But she had sickening white hair, she was skinny as hell too. Her features were almost perfect but her eyes were a bright grey, not the way Korel had described her eyes.
I look up from the paper that I wrote down everything to see Serena looking back at me. She gives me a sad smile, her eyes filled with sadness. I want to say, it's okay, and it'll all be okay. We're going to find the boys and everything will be just fine. But the bigger part of me knows that their not fine, I know their not fine. They might be alive, but who knows. They could be possesed by demons for all I fucking know. And I think that's what kills me the most, the fact that I don't know if Josh is okay. It feels like a piece of me has been ripped out of my body and I could never understand the feeling of a lost loved one up until this point.
"Do you want anything to snack on?" Erika's soft voice pipes in.
"I'm not hungry." I mutter causing her to nod.
"What are you thinking about?" She asks me.
"I'm just trying to picture the girl Korel described." I say looking down.
"Have you gotten anywhere with that?" She asks me.
"All I can think of is this girl I saw on the first date of warped tour that I was staying with the boys. She had white hair, like pure white, not grey, white. Her features were sunken in, body frail and looked like it'd snap. Her entire facade strikingly beautiful. But the only thing different from his description I feel is the eyes. Her eyes were grey, not black or red. I don't know why I keep seeing her but that's the only way I can see her." I say playing with the corner of the pad of paper that I stole from the hospital.
"Well this is what my mind went too." She says showing me the paper.
"You're shitting me?" I say looking at the photo, the image of the female I saw and the drawing side by side looking the same exact to every feature, except for the eyes.
"No? That's what you described to me so I-" I cut her off before she finishes.
"This is the same girl just the eyes, the eyes are the only fucking difference." I say looking at her.
"No fucking way?" She says causing me to nod.
"Let me see." Serena says grabbing the drawing from me.
She sits it in front of her and studies it.
"I saw someone with white hair that looked really thin but the other person that was beside the person with the white hair struck me more." She says.
"What did they look like?" I ask her.
"It was a man. He was tall, firmly built, like someone out of abercrombie but he was pale as hell. His hair was like dark as hell, like the light wasn't even happening on that head of hair. He didn't have a shirt on though and he had a mark on his chest that looked like it was some cult type of thing. I didn't say anything at the time because you know it could have been just another dude. But like I swear to god he like captured me in a type of trance where I stared for a bands full set." She says causing me to squint.
"Draw what it looks like." Erika says handing Serena the pencil.
"Dude, you guys, we're like fucking detectives." Mika says causing me to laugh. Jax is driving so he's probably not paying any attention to us at all.
Serena hands the paper back to us and I grab it before anyone else can. I hold it tightly in my grip looking at the drawing.
You know in TV shows where they show the two things side by side, well if this were a movie that's how this would be right now.
I remember seeing the mark on the girls arm too, it's so hard to describe what it looks like. There's a bunch of lines inside a circle. It almost looks like there's a M or a V in it. It's like morse code or something.
"What do you think this is?" I ask handing it to Erika. She studies the piece of paper for a few seconds and ten shrugs.
"No idea." I sigh and nod.
"We're almost there." Jax says causing me to sigh again.
I look out the window multiple trees flying by.
"I feel like I'm going to puke." I whisper laying my head against the window.
"How about after we look around, go tell Korel what we've found out, and then go to a pool and hot tub." Serena says looking back at me.
"I guess." I sigh.
The car finally pulls over to sidewalk. I look in front of us and see the place where the bus was. There's a large dent in the ground and glass scattered everywhere, that's how I know where the bus was. I immediate get out of the car and walk over to the area seeing something on the ground. I carefully walk through the blocked off section, where I'm not supposed to be but do it anyways. I get over to the thing I saw and pick it up. It's a locket without the chain. I try to open it but can't get it open. I look all around the locket and then find something that is like a riddle, well, it is a riddle. It's ok the back of it.
