The day you had been dreading came quickly. You sat in front of a large desk covered in different beauty tools, your head tilted at an awkward angle as a woman worked on your hair and another worked on your makeup.
Naomi sat next to you smiling softly with her eyes closed as she was also pampered. She should have been the one marrying a prince, not you. You thought if it was possible, you could escape and hide away for the remainder of your life. Surely none of the princes nor the king cared enough to send a search party. They would just pick another girl and you would be freed.
A knock on the door drew you out of your spiral. Prince Seokjin stepped through the threshold with a woman attached to his arm.
"Y/N! You're looking lovely, my younger brother is lucky to have you. This is my wife Iris, I wanted you two to get acquainted since she is a part of your bridal party. I won't keep you ladies too long; I have to go calm down the grumpy groom." Jin left as quickly as he came and left Iris at the doorway."I'm going to punish him later. He didn't even give me a hug. Aish, men." You and Naomi couldn't help but giggle at the woman scolding her husband.
"You must be the lovely bride! As you heard I'm Jins wife, Iris! I'm so happy little Yoongi could find someone to handle his attitude." Iris sat down in a chair that a maid brought over. You three talked making time fly by.You learned that Iris is a princess from another kingdom outside of Korea. It was an arranged marriage to gain more resources and an ally in another country, but it was only a short time before the two fell in love after being married. Iris was two years older than Jin and lived in the west wing of the castle with her husband.
"Time for your dress Y/N!" Iris clapped at Naomi excitedly. You wished you could share their enthusiasm about the day. Your dress however was gorgeous. It was everything you had ever dreamed of.
With a skintight bodice that had a sweetheart neckline and crystals that covered it all the way down to your hips where they began to fade away as they cascaded down the rest of the dress. You had decided on a mermaid style dress that wasn't overly poofy at the bottom. It accentuated all of the curves you had forgot you had, and you almost caught yourself drooling over your own figure in the dress.
"Damn Y/N! I might have to divorce Jin and steal you for myself! Share some of your curves with me pleaseee?!" You blushed at Iris as she pouted behind you in the mirror. Naomi opened the door just as you were grabbing your bouquet.
"Are you all ready? The wedding starts in about- holy shit." Jungkook and Jimin stood in the doorway both frozen, mouths agape. Iris walked by and elbowed the two younger males.
"Eyes up boys, that's about to be your sister."
"Not by blood though." Jungkook muttered under his breath as he crossed his arms.
"I'm ready." As much as you wanted to remark on the perverted youngest comment, you were too busy trying not to vomit as you walked down the hall to a large set of double doors. The frame around the doors was decorated in flower garland. Dozens of varying flowers all in white cascaded around the doors entwined with satin purple sashes and specks of gold glitter here and there. Yoongi had said it was customary that a royal wedding match the colors of the kingdom but made sure you knew that you were still free to choose colors of your own. In the end you decided to keep tradition and stick with the crown's colors, gold and purple.
Through the door you heard music begin playing and you took a deep breath in and out to steady your heart. One by one your bridesmaids all left through the doors with one of Yoongis brothers. The only two you knew out of your six bridesmaids were your maid of honor, Naomi and Iris, though she was merely an acquaintance right now.
The bridesmaids are all socialites with royal blood, all from allied kingdoms. None of them spoke to you, simply glanced your way but you didn't miss the harsh tone in their eyes as they looked at you. Naomi was the last bridesmaid to walk down the aisle, she gave you a thumbs up before walking arm in arm with Namjoon.
The music changed signaling it was time for you to walk. Everything felt like it was in slow motion. Guards opened the doors, and you prayed in your head that you wouldn't trip and fall in front of everyone. So many eyes were on you, and you tried not to cower under their gazes. Eyes ahead, you straightened up and put on your best act at confidence but the moment you locked eyes with Prince Yoongi you faltered.
There he stood, dressed in formal wear that would rival the king himself. His sharp eyes watched your every move. Unblinking he watched as you slowly neared him and to your surprise he smiled. It was small and nobody else may have caught it, but he smiled at you with a faint blush on his face. Smiling back as you reached him a thought went through your head. Maybe this won't be so bad.
