Something felt strange. I was awake although I did not open my eyes. I was still tired. I wanted to go back to sleep but I did not have my blanket and for some reason my bed felt harder. Dazed, I felt around for my phone. However to my suprise, my hand did not make contact with my cool, smooth bed sheet. Instead, my bed felt slightly prickly, and sleek. Recognizing this feeling as grass, I was aware that I wasn't in my bed and I must be outside.
Ugh, my brother probably dragged me out to the backyard and left me here as a prank,
I thought to myself.
I pushed myself up and opened my eyes expecting to see my back porch or the fence. Yet, all I saw was grassland. I sat up and looked around confused. I seemed to be in some field with small hills and occasional steeps. I stood up and searched with my eyes for something other than this sea of green I was in. After I had slowly turned one-hundred and eighty degrees I could make out what looked to be a forest out in the distance.
To my astonishment, after looking all around I saw that the forest was all there was. No people. No houses. No cars. How did I get here?
I asked myself.
Using common sense, it proved obvious to myself that I must be in a dream. But It felt so real.
I could be in a lucid dream,
I pondered.
I've heard of those before. They are dreams where you can actually control what you do and what happenes, and they are known to have the ambience of reality. But why would I want to dream of a field. I hate nature.
I looked around again then something caught my eye. It was a line in the grass. An almost invisible line. I squinted to see it better which caused me to see many more. When seeing the lines in the field you could tell that it's sort of like a grid. I turned my head around and up and down, seeing that there were squares everywhere. This whole place was a grid. Everything have the impression of being...blocks. Something seemed familiar about this place. I didn't quite remember what though.
"Welcome to tutorial!" A booming, robotic voice said through which seemed to be the sky. When hearing that I jumped up in sudden shock and realization of where I was. Minecraft.
I was in the game minecraft. Correction, dreaming about being in the game minecraft.
(I will update much sooner next time, I promise. Thanks for reading.😊)
