"Tum wahan curtain ke piche kya kar rahi thi?" Manik demanded to know.
"Safai." Nandini replied. "Kitna zyada dhool hai yahan pe....chii!"
"Ok..." Manik mumbled, looking at her weirdly.
"Anyways....you guys should start your practice.. agle hafte ek aur concert hai na tum logon ka?" Nandini said. "I made a schedule for you....woh follow karna hoga and-"
"Oh Ms Manager!" Manik called out, stopping her. "Karna Hoga matlab??? Did you really just order us?"
"Order nahi de rahi hoon...bas bol rahi ki-"
"Sounded like an order to me....Hai na guys?" Manik looked to his friends with a smirk. They all knew he wanted to annoy Nandini so they joined in.
"Haan....lagta hai isko kisine bataya nahi how things work around here." Mukti said.
"Koi na...hum bata dete hai." Cabir shrugged. "So...Nandini, we....as in Fab 5....hum log rules banate hai and follow TUMHE karna hoga. Jab hum kahenge tab rehearsal hoga, jab hum kahenge tab masti aur party hoga."
"Exactly....aur hum schedule ke hisab se nahi chalte. Duniya humare hisba se chalte hai." Manik added with attitude. "Since you are new...aaj ke liye maaf karte hai. Now....go get me a strong Americano."
"Ooh...I'd like an Iced Caramel Macchiato!" Aliya spoke up.
"Iced Matcha for me." Cabir replied.
"Ho gaya tum logon ka?" Nandini who was standing there just listening finally opened her mouth. "Ya....aur bhi bakwas bolna bakki hai system mein?"
"Excuse me?" Manik was stunned to see her speak to them like that.
"You are NOT excused. Jab Nandini Murthy baat kar rahi ho toh beech mein nahi bolte!" Nandini said sternly. Cabir's mouth fell open in complete shock. "I dont know tum logon ko yeh galatfemi kaha se ho gayi but let me just make one thing clear.....main MANAGER hoon so my job is to MANAGE you and thats exactly what I plan on doing. Aur haan....na toh mujhe tum logon ne hire kiya hai aur na hi tum mujhe salary de rahe ho so I dont have to listen to you. Now....start your rehearsal varna you dont even want to know ki main kya karungi."
Nandini marched out leaving behind a speechless Fab 5. She was outside when she got a call.
Caller: Nandini, you are supposed to get close to them....not argue in the first meeting.
Nandini: Toh maine bhi koi plan karke nahi rakha tha ke pehle meeting mein jagrah hoga! Par woh log kaise baat kar rahe they? And that Manik Malhotra....he is the worst of them!

Meanwhile, Manik complained to his friends about Nandini.
"Did you guys hear her? How dare she talk to me like that huh? Dad ko bhi paata nahi kaha se mila hai yeh nayi Manager.....ITNA attitude!"

Nandini: Bhar bhar ke attitude hai usme....so rude!

"Badtameez ladki...."

Nandini: Kya bol raha tha? 'Duniya humare hisab se chalti hai...go get me a strong Americano..' Meri jhutti! Laad Sahab kahi ka.

"She is our Manager...matlab employee hai par she is acting as if uska yahan hona humare liye aisaan hai or something." Manik said.

Nandini: Pehle meeting mein usne mujhe practically fat shame kiya! Phir bhi...PHIR BHI main ache se baat kar rahi thi.
Caller: Hein? Yeh kab hua?
Nandini: Jab mein uske upar giri toh usne nahi bola ki usse dard hua?
Caller: .....But.......fat shame kab kiya?
Nandini: Arre tabhi toh kiya na! Jab ek chotti si, nazuk si ladki tumhare upar girta hai toh you are supposed to catch her! Like...filmo main jaise dikhate hai! Par nahi...yeh aadmi complain karta hai....that usse apparantly lag gaya. Giri main...par USSE lag gaya? Obviously woh mujhe moti bula raha tha!
Caller (Chuckling): Nandini....calm down. Tum wahan ek reason ke liye ho remember?
Nandini: Hmm....I know, I remember. Issi liye maine khud ko control kiya.
Caller (mumble to himself): Bhagwan hi bachaaye Fab 5 ko when you DONT control yourself...
Nandini: Kya?
Caller: Kuch nahi....baad mein baat karte hai.
Nandini hung up the call and continued to walk when she tripped over her own foot and was about to fall forward. But instead of falling forward she found herself hanging midway. Nandini turned and found Manik holding her by her wrist.
"Isne meri baat sun liya kya? Iss baar toh bilkul filmon ki hero ki tarah pakad liya mujhe...." Nandini thought to herself with a small smile. The next moment Manik let go and Nandini fell onto the ground with a thud. She groaned and looked up at Manik with a glare. "Nevermind....jerk!"
