The Manager

Chapter 4

"Yeh kya tha?" Nandini stood up angrily. "Giraya kyun?"

"Main koi hindi serial ka hero lagta hoon jo tumhe pakkad ke rakhta?" Manik retorted. 

"Whatever...yahan kya kar rahe ho? Rehearsal karne ke liye bola tha na maine?"

"Arre wahi kar raha tha meri Ma! Paani toh peene jaa sakta hoon na? Uska permission hai ya nahi?" Manik asked sarcastically.

"Oh.....haan." Nandini shrugged. "Par jaldi...uske baad back to rehearsals."

Manik & Nandini entered Swarg mansion together, while Manik got some bottles of water from the fridge and went back to rehearsals, Nandini introduced herself to the elders. While chatting, she didnt notice that 20 minutes went by.

"Beta....Fab5 kya kar rahe hai right now?" Aisha Vedant suddenly asked.

"Woh toh rehearse kar rahe hai." Nandini replied.

"Are you sure? Music ka awaaz toh nahi aa raha hai." Aisha replied. Nandini kept quiet and tried to listen....nothing.

"Oh no...."

"Yeh log aise hi hai. Jaise dekha ke tu yahan busy hai waise hi party karne ke liye bahar chala gaya hoga." Nyonika commented.

"Im so sorry....I'll handle this, I promise." Nandini excused herself and left. She went to the rehearsal studio and sure enough nobody was there. "Oh really now? Mujhe chakma de ke nikal gaye....itna asan nahi hai."

Fab 5 were partying in a club while laughing about Nandini.

"I cant believe she actually thought we would listen to her." Aliya laughed. 

"Bechari kitni bholi hai." Mukti chuckled.

"I dont know guys...jaise woh baat kar rahi thi Manik se......woh bholi toh nahi laga mujhe." Cabir replied.

"She could also get in trouble....matlab its her first day as manager and we managed to give her the slip." Dhruv added, feeling bad.

"Wahi toh main chahta hoon. Iss ladki ne mujhse, Manik Malhotra se panga liya hai.....Im not going to make things easy for her." Manik smirked.

While they were talking, a bar tender and a waitress is seen watching them. 

"Yaar forget her guys...let's dance!" Mukti pulled her friends to the dance floor and they started dancing. Two men who look like they are in their 40s start walking towards Fab 5, making their way through the crowd. One man takes out a knife....a few inches away from Manik, he is about to plunge the knife into Manik's back but suddenly he feels a pain in his neck. The man looks back and finds that his partner is gone.....things start getting blurry and he stumbles around trying to look for his friend. The knife he was holding drops to the floor and he falls to the ground unconscious. Finally Fab 5 notices and looks back to see what happened.

"Guys...wahan koi gir gaya hai kya?" Aliya asked. Through the crowd of people, they couldnt see the man properly but saw the back of the bar tender.

"Sorry everyone....looks like he had too much to drink." The bar tender chuckled. "We will help him out...aap sab enjoy kijiye."

The bar tender & the waitress both carry the man into the back room where his friend is seen tied to a chair. They throw him onto another chair and tie him securely too.

"Haye Matarani.....kitna bhari hai yeh dono!" The waitress wiped sweat from her forehead.

"Maine kaha tha, tujhe aur training karni chahiye." A voice spoke from their watches.
