Yuzuru couldn't contain his smile, no matter how hard he tried. Haruki, on the other hand, was getting frustrated with Yuzuru's constant smile. "I understand we won, but why are you still so happy?" Haruki asked, clearly irritated by Yuzuru's antics.
"Hehe, really? I thought my face had gone back to normal," Yuzuru responded playfully.
Ogiwara simply stared at him, rolling her eyes. "Your face still looks like an idiot. I almost forgot you were actually one of them because of how passionate you played today," Ogiwara retorted, causing the two friends to quickly become engaged in a fight.
Haruki sighed, his frustration growing, as he turned to his left, expecting to see Izumi. However, Izumi was not there.
He scanned his eyes around and finally spotted Izumi, holding a lunch box full of his usual vegetable snacks.
Izumi noticed Haruki's searching gaze and questioned, "What? I was hungry."
Haruki sighed once again, walking towards Izumi. "I want one," he said.
Izumi hesitated for a moment, unsure whether to give in to Haruki's request or not. Eventually, he decided to hand Haruki a cherry tomato.
"Thanks," Haruki said gratefully. Izumi nodded in response. They both then turned their attention away from Ogiwara and Yuzuru's ongoing brawl, focusing on enjoying their snack in peace.
Meanwhile, Ogiwara and Yuzuru continued fighting. Chris was nowhere to be found as he was engrossed in playing with a small frog he had discovered.
Fujiwara shook his head, and Shinki walked toward them. "Have you guys loaded all our stuff?" They nodded.
"Our next match is in two days. Tomorrow, you guys are going to have a practice match with Karumai High and Tsukiba High. And the next day in the morning, we'll have a match with Hirosaki High, and the rest of the afternoon you guys can rest before the match."
They nodded. Irina smiled. They weren't whining anymore. It nice to see their growth.

Shugo stared at the ceiling, his stomach growling loudly in protest. "I'm hungry," he mumbled, his words echoing in the quiet room. Hanzo, lying beside him, let out a soft sigh.
"It's not just you, Shugo." Uehara glanced over at them, picking up the ball they had been using earlier. "Irina texted that she'll be back in 15 minutes," he murmured.
"Wu xi, where's the first-year?" Shugo inquired, breaking the silence that had settled over them.
"With Fujiwara-senpai," Wu xi replied. "They're helping the owner clean the garage since there's nothing else to do."
As they sat there, each lost in their own thoughts, Hanzo suddenly spoke up, "Have you guys thought about who will be the next captain?" The question hung in the air.
"I haven't really thought about it," Shugo admitted. "I don't see myself as captain material. Plus, I don't think I could handle our current first-years, let alone future ones. Noyuki-senpai had a tough time with us and the first-years."
"I have no interest in being captain, even if you guys were to force me," Wu xi chimed in, his tone serious.
Shugo nodded in agreement, "We know, you struggle to get along with the first-years sometimes. They can be quite loud."
Wu xi retorted, "Says the ones who are just as bad as them."
Shugo feigned offense, "Wu xi!" Uehara chuckled, "I couldn't see myself as captain either. Not that I wouldn't want to take care of the team, but Hanzo is enough for me to handle."
Hanzo scoffed, "I can take care of myself, you know." Uehara teasingly, "Says the one who calls me when you're lost."
Hanzo blushed, "That was one time!" Laughter filled the room as Uehara shook his head, "Looks like none of us are keen on being captain."
Suddenly, Hanzo exclaimed, "You haven't even asked me!" Wu xi looked at him, "Do you want to be the captain then?" Hanzo quickly backtracked, "No, I mean—"
Before he could finish, the other hold his hair, causing him to yelp in pain. "Oi! Let go, that hurts!" he protested. Uehara shook his head amusedly, "I'll have to inform Shinki-sensei about this later."
The conversation then shifted to potential candidates for the captaincy. "What about Haruki or Shige?" Shugo suggested.
"Nah, those two probably put their hand up. Since one is vice president of student council and the others is head manager of Volleyball Club." Hanzo chided.
"Chris can't be the captain since he'll remain the vice-captain. Yuzuru is out of the question, so that leaves Izumi. He has the leadership qualities, but I doubt he didn't want the responsibility," Hanzo analyzed.
Uehara intervened, "Let's set this captain talk aside for now." Just then, the door swung open, revealing Benjiro. "Come on, Irina has finished cooking," he announced.
Shugo exclaimed, "I can't wait to eat!" as they made their way to the dining area.
