Ogiwara's eyes met Yuzuru's twinkling gaze. "We made it to the top 4 in interhigh, so you'll join us, right? Just like you promised," Kazuki and Shin observed with amusement, aware of the deal between Ogiwara and Yuzuru.
If the basketball team reached the top 8, Ogiwara would join them. However, the team exceeded expectations by reaching the top 4.
Ogiwara nodded in agreement, causing Yuzuru to gasp in excitement before jumping for joy. "Finally!" he exclaimed, unable to contain his happiness.
Haruki, seated beside Shigehiro, rolled his eyes playfully. "You've had your moment. Now scram before class starts," Yuzuru nodded. Haruki stared at Yuzuru in shock.
Wow, he didn't shout at me like he usually does.
"Bye! I'll come to pick you up when school ends!" Yuzuru declared as he swung open the door to reveal Chris. "Morning, Chris!" he chirped. Chris returned the greeting with a smile.
"Congratulations on making it to the top 4 in interhigh!" Kazuki congratulated Chris, beaming. Ogiwara, Haruki, and Shin watched the exchange. "Ah, so bright," they whispered to each other.
"Welcome to the club, Shige!" Chris welcomed Ogiwara as he settled in. Kazuki playfully pouted, "Looks like Shige won't have time for us now." Ogiwara chuckled softly, assuring them, "I'll always make time for you guys. Besides, I'm not a starter player."
Haruki interjected, "You're already one of the starters in the team." Ogiwara blinked in surprise, Chris continue what Haruki say "Everyone wanted you on the team, not just Yuzuru. Even our tsundere Fujiwara-senpai agreed to step aside as a starter for you."
Kazuki and Shin exchanged knowing looks, provoking Ogiwara to respond, "Don't even start."
"Human magnet," they remarked, causing Haruki and Chris to chuckle.

"Bye Shige! It's a pity that you can't meet our new manager!" Kazuki shouted, while Shin waved at him. Ogiwara waved back before entering the gym and was immediately met with all eyes on him.
"Hello," Ogiwara greeted, feeling tense as all eyes turned towards him. Suddenly, a familiar voice cut through the tension. "Shige!!!" Chris shouted while running towards Ogiwara, his face beaming with excitement. Ogiwara visibly relaxed as Chris approached him.
"Oh, it's just Shige," said Noyuki Hatsu, the team captain. "Oh, Noyuki-san, please take care of me from now on," Ogiwara said, bowing respectfully.
Noyuki smiled, "Stand straight. I hope you're ready to face a lot of harsh training." Ogiwara smiled and nodded in response.
"And I don't think we need any introductions, right?" Noyuki added, to which Ogiwara nodded in agreement.
Before he could say anything else, a big hand landed on his head. "Shige! Welcome!" Hansuke Hanzo said, patting Ogiwara's head affectionately. Uehara Kenzo quickly swatted Hanzo's hand away, scolding him lightly. "Uehara~"
