Pirate's Thunder ── Roronoa Zoro

"Sorry, what?" Cleoma laughed, the sound carrying through the alley further into the town, "I work alone."

"And have you worked with others before?" Only silence followed his question as the girl furrowed her eyebrows.

When he was about to continue Cleoma spoke, "Yes, I have... Not exactly what you would call, had the best time."

"Well, I'm a different pirate," Luffy countered as he smiled at her before he turned towards Koby, "Tell her my friend."

"Erm, well he's right," Koby muttered as he felt awkward under the girl's gaze.

"Hm, very convincing indeed," Cleoma remarked as she started walking away once again.

Luffy stepped into her path blocking her from disappearing further into the alley. The pirate could only smile at his action, this kid wasn't taking no for an answer.

"Okay, here's an idea. I will give you one day to convince me your crew is worth joining."

"Yes!" Luffy jumped up in excitement, "Thank you, crewmate."

With all his eagerness Luffy turned to walk towards his and Koby's boat as it was their sleeping spot for the night. After a few seconds, he noticed that only Koby was following after him which made him stop and turn around.

"I have my own sleeping arrangements," Cleoma called over her shoulder as she was walking in the opposite direction they were headed, "I'll meet you here tomorrow morning."

And then as she rounded a corner, she was gone. Luffy laughed before he patted Koby on the shoulder and resumed his march towards the harbour.

𓆝 𓆟 𓆞 𓆝 𓆟

"I understand you sent four of my marines to the infirmary," Captain Morgan spoke through the sound of his axe sharpener.

Both Zoro and Helmepoo stood in his office, watching him sharpen his axe hand over and over again. When he was finished, the machine turned itself off and he admired his work in a mirror hanging on a wall opposite him.

"Without drawing a blade, I might add. Impressive."

"I didn't want to make a mess," Zoro responded, his head lifting as he looked at the Captain.

"Roronoa Zoro. The Demon," Morgan chuckled as he came closer to the boys," Most feared pirate hunter in the East Blue. I'd say you live up to your reputation."

"If it's all the same, I'll just take my money and go," he stated after noticing Morgan's look towards his body bag.

He needed to hurry before a certain pirate got onto the next ship leaving Shells Town. He knew she'd seen him before he saw her as she left the bar and that gave her an advantage. She could be bribing a sailor right now just so she could get away from him as soon as possible.

"You'll collect your bounty," Morgan descended the stairs, "But the penalty for assaulting a Marine is seven days strung up in the yard."

"No food or water," the Captain finished as he stopped before Zoro.

"You can try to arrest me, but your brat'll be the first one I kill," right after which he would go after Cleoma.

"Hey! He can't speak to me that way!" Helmepoo yelled from Zoro's side before he turned towards his father who raised simply his axe and smacked his son.
