The Raiden shogun

 Ei was stern, but merciful.

 Stanced menacingly inside Tenshukaku was someone who was not Ei. She held the Musou Isshin in two hands, which were slowly rising in an arc above her head, the preface to a deadly blow. Her movements were absolute, mechanical, unbothered by the soul before her. 

 A bright, electric soul who would die at the hands of his archon.

 The raiden shogun had abandoned the concept of mercy long ago.

 Shhhiing!

 Then, the final judgement was delivered. All but the shogun froze for a millisecond, to witness the lightning's fierce glow. Quietly, the brave soul crumpled to the ground as electricity prickled through the air.

 And somewhere, in a different plane of reality, Ei blinked.
