Mo-tak was in the middle of a case where he needed some important information of a ritual murder, that had happened more than 10 years ago.He found out, that there has been a witness who was still alive. An elderly Shaman, who had insisted, that she hadn't seen anything at all.
When the police had left the scene back than, the old Lady went into hiding in the outer area of a small city called Paju. As soon as Hanul had found her house, Mo-tak asked Hana for help.
Since Hana could read memories best when she had the territory, Somun had to come along as well.
They roamed the place, but the Shaman wasn't home.
Mo-tak left Hana and Somun (" You Kids, keep watch of the house. Make sure to call me if the witness comes home") to look for her at a forest shrine she seemed to visit frequently.
After an hour, Somun and Hana where still sitting next to each other, leaning against an old stone wall, quietly watching that old village house on the other side of the street.
There was a lot going on in Hana's head.
Somun had openly shown her his feelings so many times already and their interaction 2 days ago, made her feel uneasy.
What was holding her back to confess to him as well? She knew she couldn't deny it any longer, that she was madly in love with him, longed for him. So much, that it hurts.
Those six months without him had been proof enough that he owned her entire heart. So why was she wasting time with hiding behind lame excuses?
There was no one else who deserved it more to be loved than that fine young man next to her.
Still watching the building, she adressed him.
"Somuna. I've got something to tell you.
This might not be the best place and time, but I don't know when I will find the courage for it again.
So make sure to listen well.
What I want to say is that, ..... I ... "
Hana sighed silently.
"Haaaa~ I don't know how to start. - [slightly playing with her fingers] -
Honestly said, it's a bit difficult for me."
His voice was soft and calm "Then don't"
Hana turned to Somun, but his eyes were still focused on the house.
It took a moment for him to continue
"I've known for quite a while already.
You told me many times, in your own way,
without using any words".
Slowly the remaining fear and insecurity that was left in Hana began to dissolve. All the pressure on her chest was finally gone.
She studied his side profile for a few seconds before placing her hand on his cheek, making him face her.
His eyes where full of love and she felt guilt rising when she realized:
"If you have known all along,
how hard must it have been holding yourself back because of me?"
He slightly pushed his head against her hand that was still on his cheek.
"For you, I can do anything.
And you don't have to feel sorry,
since I'm not going to wait even one more second"
Somun's gaze wandered from her eyes to her lips when he leaned down for a slow but deep kiss.
Hana closed her eyes as soon as she felt his warm and soft lips on hers.
Her mind went blank and she completely blended out everything around her except Somun.
They softly kissed again and a third time, before Somun placed one hand on Hana's waist to pull her closer while the other one was holding her head.
Quickly the kisses got more intense, making them both gasp.
Hana grabbed the collar of Somun's sweater and opened her mouth for him.
Hearing her own heartbeat hammering in her ears.
There was nothing holding them back anymore.
Declaring their love for each other silently with every single kiss
When they finally pulled away, they breathlessly looked at each other.
Somuns thumb, caressing her cheek.
Hana was again amazed by how beautiful he was.
The long curls framing his face, those expressive eyebrows, his intense and warm eyes.
After getting aware of their surroundings, they both suppressed to go for it again and Hana snuggled into the taller mans shoulder.
He comfortably put his arm around her and placed a kiss her on her head.
Right now she couldn't have been happier.
And like this they started their watch again.
Hoping to be successful soon, to call it a day and to spend their attentiveness only for each other.
At least for this night.
They where both aware of how dangerous their job was and that it wouldn't be easy having a love life in their situation, but what was it, that Mo-tak had said years ago?
"Love prevails even when people are in the middle of war."

Dear readers, you may have noticed, I am back from my work trip and arrived safely at home in germany ^^
After finishing this chapter and re-reading it the next day, I deleted almost all of it.
Because in the first version, Hana was the one who initiated their first kiss. But since Somun waited for so many years to finally kiss her, I didn't want to take it away from him.So after completing the new version, I went to bed, reread it the next morning and uploaded it just now, since I'm now finally satisfied with it.
I hope you also like it as well and can start loving the final Episode of Uncanny Counter Season 2 with this ending in mind.
As for me I'm at peace now and hope we will have a Season 3 in the future.
~Again please ignore all the wrong spelling and mistakes I've made since english isn't my mother tounge ~
