A Fiery Sleep (A Ninjago Kai ff):Really slow updates

Part 3

We all had earpieces on to stay in touch, part of our group was waiting on the sign to get flown onto the crystal island, by the group that should guide the light. But since there weren't enough vehicles for us to fly up, a few of us would have to climb on to the island we were waiting on a building near the crystal island. „Is everybody in place and knows what to do?" I asked. I heard the confirmations and looked at the time. It was 11:30am. Which meant we should start now. Nya, who was next to me, said into the earpiece:„Distraction group start now."

As soon as she said it, an explosion went off not too far from our building. Then smoke raised from the place where we supposed the explosion happened. How is everything going?" Nya asked. „Thanks to the explosion a lot of the crystal warrior and people left their positions. We'll make at least another one to get even more of them here, so you'll have less of them to worry about." Misako answered. We waited a few seconds and Voilà, another, a bigger explosion was heard and seen. All of a sudden we heard Misako's voice through the coms:„Go. NOW. They're all here." In the background we heard swords clash and fights.

We started climbing up the crystal island as fast as we  could. I tried to grab a piece of  the island, but I slipped and lost my grip on the island. As I fell, I heard the screams of my family, Wu and Skylor. I panicked and wished that somehow I wouldn't fall to death. Before I could even finish wishing, I felt a tingling sensation in my body and somehow a huge stone plate got pushed out of the island and stopped my fall. It took me a few seconds to realise  what just happened. „Cole? Is he here? Did he do that?Did Skylor somehow copy his powers? Or is it something else?" I looked upwards and saw the others with relieved looks on their faces.
„I'm fine, this stone plate caught me, I think?", I screamed towards them. „We have to continue. I'll try to catch up to you as fast as I can." So we continued our climb towards the top, I tried to remember all the things that Cole taught me about climbing, since I didn't want to fall again.

„Look around for good places to grip, don't just focus on your arms, focus on your legs too, try to step on the places you had your hands."  (A/N: I honestly don't have much of an idea what you should do during climbing)  It was almost as if I could hear Cole next to me, so I took a deep breath and climbed on, even faster than before. After a few minutes I managed to catch up to the others. Nya then asked me: „Kai, where did that stone plate come from?" „I don't know, but it caught me, so I don't think that it was someone with bad intentions. But we can focus on that later, we have the crystal king's ass to beat, don't we?" Before we got to the top, where the crystal king was sitting on his ugly throne, we met up with the other of our group who already cleared most of the other passages. I mean, who wants to sit on stone and crystal?

Even though we tried to be sneaky, the crystal king saw us.
„I've been waiting for you. By destroying you I'll show you there's no one, really NO ONE that can defeat me," he spoke in his weird low voice. „Yeah, yeah...Why in the FSM do all the villains keep repeating that?" Nya asked bored. At that Killow intervened with slightly furrowed eyebrows:„We did not sound like that, did we UV?" „Maybe it's because that is the only thing they can remember? Like is there some kind of website where you can search for villain monologues?" I answered Nya's question from earlier. UV and Killow pouted at that and Nya and me started laughing while the crystal king just stood there dumbfounded. That dumbfoundness quickly turned into anger and he shot a weird purple lightning thingie at us. I knew we wouldn't be able to dodge it, so I ran in front of it. The impact sent me flying backwards, right towards where the island ended in a cliff.

So I decided that I'm going to make make chapters around 700 words long, I'd like to know if you'd be okay with chapters with 700 words or if you'd like them longer or shorter. So feel free to tell me. I finally decided that i am probably gonna call myself Ukichixi, cause that is my name on many other platforms. And if you find any mistakes or things that don't make sense, please tell me. It would really help improve my writing skills as this is my first story I wrote.
