a/n guess whos back 😁 uh anyway this chapter is in yogurts perspective someone commented the idea in one of the other chapters and i was like "thats so hot imma do that" also sorry i died for months ill try update this shit more 😭😭 short chap again for now 👎

The motel bathroom was a soggy disgusting mess. It seemed as if no one had cleaned it in months. 'How could Lilac stay in a dump like this?' was the only thought in Yogurt's detached head. After all the time in the palace, a downgrade so extreme must be absolutely terrible.
The ghostly prince exited the bathroom, his flowing hair trailed behind him as he phased through the door. Distracted by the disgust he felt roaming around the cheap place he could barely hear the sound of Lilac speaking.

"I apologize for lying to you.."

Yogurt froze. He floated backward to idle beside Lilac's bed. It took him much longer then it should've to find the words to say. 'I forgive you? Why? Why should I forgive you?' The ideas bounced around in the man's head. He truly couldn't muster up the courage to say anything. Not as if it mattered now.
Lilac had closed his eyes, raising his palms up to his face and rubbing his lids softly. He groaned. As the assassin moved his hands Yogurt finally noticed the tears pricking at his eyes. He felt absolutely terrible for him.

     "Lilac?" Yogurt finally spoke.

Lilac's head turned, he pushed himself to sit up in bed. "You're still here?"

"Of course I am. I'd.. I would never leave your side, Lilac Love."

"You're sure you're real? Am I finally going crazy?"

"No love. You aren't crazy.. I'm real, I'll always be real. You know I'm real."

     "I'm so sorry my Prince.."

"Lilac.. I don't know if I can forgi-"

     "Do not forgive me."

Yogurt was taken aback. Not only has Lilac never cut him off before, but he.. didn't want his forgiveness? Sure it was understandable but shouldn't it be nature to want to be forgiven?

"I just want to apologize. There's no reason you should ever forgive what I have done to you. What I have done.. is unforgivable. Even if you said it it would not be true."

"I.. think I understand." Yogurt Cream laid across Lilac's lap. Causing the living man to tremble.

The moment reminded Yogurt of a memory from Yogurca. He laid in Lilac's lap just like now. The bodyguard had been braiding the Prince's hair as the Prince told him a story of one of recently found his treasures. Lilac listened the entire way through, even taking the time to ask questions about the treasures history. The ghost missed that life, that moment, his life.. in general.
Yogurt Cream lifted his translucent hand, he moved it over to Lilac's cheek, cupping it softly. He sat up to kiss Lilac on the opposite cheek. The assassin began sobbing at Yogurt's cold touch. The Prince had never seen his body guard so emotional before. He had always been an emotionless and quiet man, yet here he was, uncontrollably wailing. It was almost like a breath of fresh air for the ghost knowing that Lilac was letting his feelings out.

     "Yogurt Cream Cookie?"

     "Yes, Lilac Love?"

"I.. I loved you. I still do. I put off your death for so long.. I never wanted to.. I love you so much. I miss you. I regret everything."

     "Lilac.. you loved me?"

     "Since I met you, sir."

"Oh Lilac.. I love you too."

These words only seemed to make Lilac sob harder. He moved his hands up to his hair, grabbing at it and pulling it, even managing to rip some of it out. Yogurt Cream really didnt know how to react. He tried grabbing Lilac's wrists, though for obvious reasons it had no effect. He settled for a sort of hug. The Prince clung to Lilac's torso. The chill of the embrace seemed to finally calm him down. Though he kept weeping, his hands fell to his sides and his cries grew quieter.
The assassin fell backwards onto the motel bed. Rolling onto his side. The prince moved with him. He glided into place next to Lilac on the bed. The two men shut their eyes, one still crying and the other felt as he was about to.
