-Competition Night-

Hailey's POV:

     "I cant believe it, we actually won the competition!" I yelled out in excitement as I jumped up and down. "It feels so surreal." Luke smiled. "Well of course we won. Those people didn't 't stand a chance against us!" Milly yelled as she shook Jake back and forth causing him to fall in my arms. My face turned a pinkish color, I stared in his dark brown eyes. "Woah there. Sorry about that Hails." Jake giggled as he stood up. "I-it's okay." I laughed it off.

    "Hey guys, Zander and I are going to go talk to my parents real quick. We'll meet you guys at the car." Luke said as he wrapped his arms around my step brother. "Ooo Sean look! Let's go!" Milly pointed at an ice cream truck and ran off with Sean, leaving just Jake and I left. "So looks like they left us." I giggled into my hand causing Jake to smile. "Looks like it princess, wanna walk around, Austin?" He hooked his arm around mine causing me to turn a light pink color again. "Of course, Sterling." I teased back.

    Jake and I walked around for a while before we saw someone playing a violin. "Wanna dance?" Jake stopped and reached out his hand toward me. "Uhm, are you sure? Wont people assume things?" I asked as I grabbed onto my arm with my other hand. "It'll be fine Hailey! Relax a little, would ya?" He laughed. "Whatever you say, Jake. I trust you." I sighed as I grabbed his hand he had been offering out to me.

    Jake suddenly spun me around and dipped me. In the heat of the moment Jake suddenly cupped my cheek with his other hand and slowly connected our lips as he creased my cheek. I gave into the kiss and I felt his tongue slowly go in my mouth. I pulled apart after about thirteen seconds. "Wow, we just kissed." I said still in shock that I just kissed the Jake Sterling. Girls would kill to have him kiss them. "We sure did princess." He lifted me up with his hand guiding me on my back.

       "So uhm, are we officially dating, are we keeping it a secret, was it a heat of the moment type of thing?" I asked shyly as we kept dancing. Suddenly he put his hand on the back of my head and gave me a little kiss on my forehead. "Does that answer your question?" He smirked. "No, actually it doesn't. All it does is eliminate the third option." I laughed causing him to roll his eyes. "Haha very funny, But you're right I really didn't answer did I? Well my answer is really whatever you're comfortable with. Secret or not a secret." He smiled at me as we kept swaying to the song.

"Hmm let's see the pros and cons of each. If we were to be public-" I got cut off by Jake. "Zander." He shivered as he said his name. "Yes, but also we wouldn't have to try to hide it and hopefully people would support us." I said as the song ended. "Then if we were private people wouldn't find out about us and wouldn't-" I got cut off again. "Zander." He shivered at his name again. "Yes yes I know he scares you." I patted him on the shoulder and we began to walk away. "We can think about it." Jake said as he grabbed onto my waist and we walked around again.

Jake took me under a tree so we could rest. I rested my head on his shoulder. "You cold?" He asked as he rested his head on mine. "Yeah a bit but I have my jacket." I whispered. "Let me give you some extra warmth." Jake said as he got closer and cuddled me. We rested our eyes for a bit, giving me a chance to think about things. "Hey Jake, Can we be private? I don't think I'm ready to be public yet." I said with my eyes still closed. "Of course Hails." He gave me a kiss on my head. "I love you." I whispered. "I love you too." He whispered back.

      "CLUB DINNER!!!" We heard Milly yell from across the stadium, causing us to jump up. "Oh god. Let's get going Jake." I sighed as I stood up. I stuck my hand out for Jake to grab onto for support. We kept our hands intertwined as we walked to the club but quickly released them before anyone could see. "Finally you two are here. Where were you?" Zander crossed his arms. "Relax Zan, we were just talking." I giggled and gave Jake a look.

     As we made it to the car we started making arrangements for who's sitting where. Jake and I would be alone in the backseat which I thought was perfect. "Don't have too much fun back there, love birds." My step-mother, Shannon, giggled as we got in the car. "Mom~, we're not like that." I sighed as Jake and I glanced at each other, knowing that it was a lie. Jake began to laugh quietly. "Hey! Stop laughing, you're going to get us caught." I whispered. "Yes ma'am." He chuckled as he tried to stop laughing.

"Hailey, wake up." I heard Jake say as I felt kiss soft lips press against my head. "I fell asleep?" I looked up at him. "Mhm, right here on my shoulder." He smiled. "Sorry about that." I said as I got up from the seat. "You don't need to apologize Hails." He winked at me, that giant flirt. "Hey! What was that for?" He said after I had gently pushed him. Maybe not gentle but also not hard. "For being a flirt." I rolled my eyes. "Stop bickering you two." Milly pulled on Jake's arm causing him to be dragged by Milly. "Woah!" I heard him yell causing me to giggle.

    "Okay Jake, you want your normal?" I asked him knowing what he always gets. If he hasn't been to the place or doesn't like it he always gets chicken tenders because it's his safe food. "Yeah, want me to order for you as normal?" He gently pushed me with his shoulder. "Yes please~" I responded, suddenly I felt Jake's hand slot into mine, of course our hands were under the table. He usually orders for me due to my social anxiety so he's pretty used to talking to people for me.

"So found anything that looks good? Besides me of course." He teased. "Wha-? Jake, get over yourself." I gently pushed him on his chest. "Kidding kidding, but actually have you found anything to eat, since I'm ordering for you?" He asked and peered over at the menu. "Hmmm I kind of want this pasta." I pointed at a chicken alfredo pasta. "That looks good. Can I try a bite?~" He smirked. "Whatever, I guess so." I rolled my eyes.

"Hey guys! We should have a sleepover tonight!!!" Milly suggested. "Sure! My place is good." I smiled at Milly. "I'm down." Sean smiled. "Of course I'm going." Luke laughed. "I'm in!" Jake giggled. "Okay then! Let's head on out after we pay." I smiled at the group. I'm so happy I'm with my absolute favorite people on such a happy night. I get together with Jake, we win the competition, I'm with the club, I just love today.
