"Firdaus! Iftar is in about 8 minutes!" Bilkisu said nervously. "And?" Firdaus said with an insouciant shrug. "You fool! My in-laws...I mean Akram's family is coming did you forget!" Bilkisu said glaring at the younger one.

"No I didn't, i just don't want to give you any attention...and they're going to be your in-laws soon anyway, quit calling them Akram's family." Firdaus muttered all at once. Bilkisu let out a loud hiss and continued to check her self out in the mirror.

It's a beige silk dress with sleeves that stopped at her wrists. The top part of the dress grasped her waist perfectly and then it flowed down to her feet. There was a train at the side.

(Inspo; not sure I described the dress perfectly)

Bilkisu with one final look at herself in the mirror, left her room to go downstairs and firdaus followed. Just as she — bilkisu — got downstairs, the doorbell rang and she immediately got nervous again.

She pleaded with firdaus to open the door instead while she went back upstairs and firdaus who had no business being shy or nervous did as told.

Firdaus waited for bilkisu to go back upstairs before opening the door and welcoming their guests. Firdaus smiled at them. "Assalamu Alaykum." She said to them.

"Assalamu Alaykum to you too firdaus!" Akram replied cheerfully. "Uh...baba, mama, Ibrahim, Asmau, this is firdaus; bilkisu's younger sister." Akram introduced. "Welcome." She — firdaus — said.

After all the introducing ended, firdaus told them to come in and they did.

"I'll go and call baba and mama." Firdaus announced and turned around to do so. "Uh...what about bilkisu?" Asmau asked. Firdaus turned to face them again "she'll be here soon." She replied and left.

~~~
"Thank you all for honoring my invitation, it means a lot." Zayd said. "Oh it's alright." Umar, Akram's father replied.
Moments later, bilkisu came down the stairs and Akram couldn't keep his eyes off her. She had a bright smile on her lips as she walked down the stairs. She came over to the living room and knelt infront of her father and mother in-law.
"Assalamu Alaykum." She said shyly. "Wa'alaikum Salam." Umar and his wife, hamida chorused. "How are you my dear?" Hamida asked. "Fine, Alhamdullilah Mrs.Ibrahim." She— bilkisu— replied.
"Toh Alhamdullilah." Hamida said.
After a while, they all sat at the dining table to have iftar. "So...what do you think of my daughter?" Zayd asked Umar.
Bilkisu looked down nervously hoping he would like her. Different thoughts were running through her mind. What if he didn't like her? What would be his first impression? What if he doesn't like her and he separates her from Akram?
She stopped over thinking when Akram's feet brushed hers slightly and she looked back up, he nodded assuring her that everything would be okay.
Bilkisu calmed down a bit and waited for Umar's answer. "Your daughter is well mannered and nice, she's also a very respectful person." He — Umar — concluded.
"Yes I agree, bilkisu is very nice. She's beautiful too." Hamida added. "Oh Alhamdullilah then." Zayd said.
Bilkisu smiled shyly at the complements and she finally calmed down. She excused herself and went to the balcony. "Baba I'll be back." Akram said standing up and everyone knew what his intentions were.
They chuckled and let him go.
~~~
"Hello." Akram muttered under his breath but loud enough for her to hear. Bilkisu turned around startled. "Akram! You scared me!" She complained frowning a bit. He chuckled.

"I'm sorry hayati." He apologized sincerely and she laughed. The sound of her laugh resonated in him.
"It's okay Albi, you don't have to apologize." Bilkisu assured him.

"Mhm." He said. "So...how was the iftar?" Bilkisu asked casually. "Well it was good I won't lie, I loved it." He replied and she smiled.

"That means a lot albi, thank you." She told him staring into his dark brown almond eyes. "I don't know what that is for but you're welcome." Akram replied.

She smiled. "You see, I told you they would like you." He smiled looking at her. "You did! I was so happy when Mr.Ibrahim said that. You don't know the amount of happiness that filled my heart, I'm so happy!" Bilkisu squealed jumping up and down like a little child.

Akram couldn't stop admiring the woman in front of him, he loved her with his everything. She's the one. He knew.

"I'm happy too. I just have to take your gaisuwa and you'll be mine." Akram said randomly and bilksiu stopped jumping. She blushed a bit and hit him slightly.

"Albi stoppp!" She blushed and he chuckled yet again. "I'm serious, except...you don't want me anymore-

"You know that's not the case." Bilkisu cut him off. He nodded "I know, I was just teasing you." He replied.

"I don't like you so much right now." Bilkisu said looking anywhere but at him. He didn't have to see how red her cheeks were getting.

"Akram!" They both heard somebody scream from downstairs. "I guess it's time to go then." Akram said and she chuckled.

"I guess so." Bilkisu shrugged. "I'll call you later hm?" He told her and bilksiu nodded. "Let's go?"

"Let's go." Bilkisu said. They walked together and The Ibrahim's were ready to go. "Toh bilkisu, we're going back home. Thanks for having us." Umar said smiling.

"Thank you Mr.Ibrahim, it was nice having you all." Bilkisu said shyly. "Ahh don't call me that, baba is fine." Umar said. Bilkisu's eyes widened but she nodded anyway. "Okay baba." She said it casually and then looked at zayd who smiled at her.

"And you can call me mama." Hamida said. "Sure." Bilkisu said with a wide smile. She was sure that they knew her and Akram had the end goal of marriage in mind. "Bilkisu, can I have your number?" Asmau asked politely and bilkisu gave her a bright smile. "Ofcourse, I'll give it to you." She replied. "Thank you!" Asmau said.

"Can you add Firdausi's too if she doesn't mind." Asmau said and bilkisu faced her sister "I don't mind." Firdaus said so bilkisu typed out her sister's number and gave the phone back to Asmau.

The Ahmed's escorted the Ibrahim's out.

They came back to the house and bilkisu spoke "I'll go upstairs." She said. "Okay dear." Amal replied. "You want to talk to Akram?" Firdaus teased.

Before bilkisu could glare at her, Amal did. "Firdaus Ahmed Bello!" She yelled. "Okay fine I'll stop mama." She whined.

Bilkisu smirked and went upstairs.
