"Hey wake up, I gotta get to school early today" Yuqi voice broke through Shuhua's sleep. She groaned before sitting up and rubbing her eyes.

"Why?" She grumbled, sliding off her bed and walking into her bathroom.

"I have a meeting with Mr.Kim about my grades or something" Yuqi said from behind the door.

Shuhua finished getting ready and the two set off for school. When they got there, Yuqi rushed off to her meeting and Shuhua sat in the library, trying not to doze off. She suddenly took out her phone to call Miyeon.

"Hello?" Miyeon's voice called from the other rnd.

"Hey Miyeon, are you with Minnie right now? Preferrably in the car?" Shuhua mumbled, speaking quietly as to not upset the old librarian.

"Yeah we're at a cafe about to order drinks right now, why?"

"Oh that's perfect, can you order me my regular? Im exhausted right now"

"Of course, no need to pay us back. We'll be there in 10" Shuhua thanked her and hung up. She still had about 45 minutes before her fist class, so she grabbed a random book from the shelf behind her and began reading. Eventually, Miyeon and Minnie came through the library doors and walked towards Shuhua. They handed Shuhua her drink and a warm cookie.

"Oh thank god, you two are life savers, thank you" Shuhua groaned, reaching for her drink and taking a large sip.

"You're welcome" Minnie said "Why are you here so early anyways? You and Yuqi are always like 5 minutes before the bell"

"Yuqi had a meeting with Mr.Kim" Shuhua replied. The three of them chatted before leaving the library to get to their class.

On the way to her class, Shuhua spotted Soojin. The cherr haired girl caught eye contact with her and made a bee-line.

"Shuhua! I missed you!" Soojin came in for a hug and Shuhua returned it, sighing contently as the familiar scent.

"Me too" Shuhua smiled sheepishly "I would love to talk but I uh, need to get to class" She pointed at the hall behind Soojin.

"Oh no of course, I'll see you later?"

"mhm" And Shuhua speed walked into her classroom and in between Yuqi and Tzuyu. "Hey guys, Yuqi how was your meeting?" Yuqi shrugged.

"Meh, Kim said I needed to focus more on the lessons and to bring my grade up" The three of them continue to silently chat while taking notes to look like they were paying attention. After class they parted ways and Shuhua rushed to her next class.

When the bell rang for lunch, Shuhua reunited with Yuqi as they went to go sit down at their regular table. Shuhua brought out the lunch she had made herself last night, a triangle gimbap with a bottle of her favorite fruit tea.

"Hey you early birds, I heard you came to school early today" Soyeon greeted, linking arms with Yuqi as soon as the younger sat down. "Why didn't you come by to say hi?"

"I was in the library and Yuqi was in some fuck ass meeting" Shuhua said "dragged me all the way to school an hour early and I got nothing productive done"

"I'm not wasting gas money to drive back home and pick you up, dummy" Yuqi retorted. Just then, Miyeon and Minnie sat down at the table, greeting the others before beginning to eat their food.

"Have any of you seen Soojin recently?" Minnie asked, throwing sushi into her mouth. The other four shook their heads.

"She's been spending all her time with Minyeong. It's like she's got a crush on her or something" Soyeon ranted. Everyone turned their head to Shuhua

"What"

"Nothing" Miyeon said. "Don't worry about it"

"I mean, we havent properly had a hangout with her since that girl came to my party. I'm sorry but she needs to go" Minnie slammed her fist lightly onto the table.

"She doesn't need to go..." Miyeon reasoned "She just needs to learn the art of sharing"

"Yeah that hog, all pretty and beautiful, and smart, and sociable..." Shuhua listed "I'm a zit on Soojin's cheek compared to her!" Shuhua wailed, the reality suddenly hitting her. She promised herself not to care too much, but Soojin was so important to her.

"Hey hey, its okay" Yuqi consoled Shuhua. There's plenty of other people out there. Don't let some crush stop you from exploring other intrests"

"That's right. Besides," Soyeon added "I heard Chaerim has a thing for you"

"Chaerim? As in, the junior in the dance department? Dark blue-ish hair and tall?" Minnie asked

"Yup, she's been telling her friends that she wants to ask you on a date but thinks you're with Soojin"

"No way, Shuhua you two should go out" Yuqi exclaimed. "Try it out, if you like her, date her! But if you don't feel a connection, then break it off. Simple"  After a short silence and some hesitation, Shuhua reluctantly agreed.

"Sure. I'll ask her during free period today. But don't expect anything" The older girls smiled warmly at her, glad she's able to push her boundaries and try new things.

As promised, during her free period Shuhua went to the dance studios, searching for the one Chaerim might be in. Eventually she finds it.

"Chaerim?" Shuhua called, uncertain. The tall girl stopped her practice and turned around. She was alone in the studio, her friends having left early to go home since the free period was right before dismissal.

"Shuhua! What are you doing here? You're not a dance major" The dancer replied, surprised. "That wasn't meant to be offensive, by the way"

"I didnt take any offense, don't worry" Shuhua chuckled. I'm actually here to see you" A look of shock fell upon Chaerim's face, and Shuhua began to fidget with the hem of her shirt. "well, I was wondering if you were free this Friday after school? We could go and get something to eat, sorry if this is really sudden"

"Yeah, totally!" Chaerim's face flushed. "I'm free this Friday. We could leave school early, since last period is a free?" Shuhua breathed a sigh of relief.

"Sounds great, could I maybe get your number so we can stay in touch?" Shuhua held her phone out. Chaerim nodded enthusiastically and typed her number into Shuhua's phone. "It was nice meeting you, I'll see you around?" the dancer nodded and they smiled.

"So, how'd it go?" Yuqi asked as soon as Shuhua stepped into the car. Soyeon was in the front seat while Miyeon, Minnie, and Shuhua were in the back. All four looked expectantly at the youngest, who was beaming.

"She's great. Really pretty, tall, confident, everything i could ask for. I got her number and we're going on a date on Friday" The older girls cheered in delight.

"My baby is growing up" Miyeon said, swiping away fake tears. Shuhua swatted her arm.

The five of them drive back to Yuqi and Shuhua's place. They did work and ate together, and decided to spend the night. All five of them eventually fell asleep on the couch on the floor in front of the couch, tv playing a show no one remembers who reccomended.
