Chautala's world seemed to freeze as she watched Karishma plummet into the cold river. Shock and panic washed over her, but she quickly noticed Haseena, who had collapsed, unconscious, by her side. Without hesitation, Chautala knelt down beside her and gently tapped Haseena's cheek, hoping to awaken her. However, Haseena remained unresponsive.
Driven by a mixture of fear and determination, Chautala swiftly scooped Haseena into her arms, cradling her carefully. She knew she had to act fast to save them both. With Haseena in her arms, she sprinted towards her waiting car, laying her sister gently on the back seat. There was no time to waste, and she urgently instructed her constable, who was already in the driver's seat, to rush Haseena to the hospital immediately.
The constable nodded and accelerated away towards medical help, leaving Chautala's heart heavy with concern for Haseena's well-being. Her mind, however, remained haunted by the image of Karishma in the river.
Without a moment's pause, Chautala turned and sprinted back towards the bridge from where Karishma had fallen. Her eyes were filled with extreme worry as she peered over the edge, her heart pounding. She knew she had to act quickly and decisively.
Without uttering a word, Chautala made a courageous and desperate choice.
Chautala's heart raced as she plunged into the icy waters of the river. The water was murky, and visibility was poor. She began frantically searching for any sign of Karishma, her fingers brushing through the cold water, trying to grasp onto something, anything. The river's current tugged at her, making it difficult to stay in one place.
With each passing moment, her worry deepened. The river seemed vast and unforgiving, and the seconds felt like hours. Chautala strained her eyes, scanning the water for any trace of Karishma's presence. She imagined the worst scenarios, and fear gripped her.
Despite her best efforts, she couldn't find Karishma. Panic set in, and she knew time was running out. She called out Karishma's name underwater, but the river swallowed her voice. Desperation took over, and she dove deeper, her lungs burning for air.
But the river was unyielding, refusing to reveal its secrets. Chautala's strength began to wane as exhaustion overcame her. She surfaced, gasping for breath, tears mingling with the river water on her cheeks. It was a heart-wrenching moment as she realized she had failed to find Karishma.
With a heavy heart and tears in her eyes, Chautala swam back to the surface, hoping against hope that someone else might have seen something or that Karishma would miraculously reappear.
Her hopes sank as she emerged from the water, and it dawned on her that perhaps she wouldn't find Karishma. She realized that Karishma might be lost to her forever, and the weight of that possibility settled heavily upon her heart.
At hospital...
Chautala arrived at the hospital, her eyes swollen from crying. She noticed two doctors engaged in a discussion. As soon as they saw Chautala, they approached her, and Chautala also took a few steps towards them. She asked one of the doctors about Haseena's condition.
One doctor replied, Maddam in 6 ghanto main unko kai baar hosh aya hai aur teeno baar wo karu karu chilaa rhi hai. Karu kon hai agr possible hai to plz unko bula deejye.
Chautala wiped her tears and replied, "No, doctor, it's not possible."
The doctor inquired, "May I ask why, ma'am?"
Chautala proceeded to explain everything that had happened. The doctor expressed regret, saying,
humain bohat afsoos hua maddam jo b hua magar apki sister ki condition achi nhi hai kitni baar humain unko shant krne k lea sedatives dena pary hain jab bhi hosh main ati hai wo karu karu chilane lgti hain.
