The Sun shone brightly in the busy streets of London. Especially the part where wizards and witches lived. Diagon Alley, an always busy street of the hidden place of London, where muggle's aren't familiar in was just as crowded as always, it was near a new semester at Hogwarts. All different aged students -or soon to be students- and their parents roamed the long route to all kinds of different shops. So did Amethyst. The eleven year old, half-blood witch was looking around the already familiar shops. She've seen all of them before, thanks to her father owning his own shop in the street. "Bloodbloom's Broomsticks" was the name of the quite large shop, which had all different kids of brooms storaged and for sale.
-"Let's get your books first" The soft voice of the little girl's mother hit her ears. The woman smiled at her, then put a hand on her back and accompanied her into the store they'd get Amethyst's books for the new semester.
-"Let's see...The Standard Book of Spells, got it." Anne -Amethyst's mother- spoke, as she put the book in the basket she was holding. -"Honey, can you look for the transfiguration book you'll be needing? Severus already told you the name of it, did he not?"
-"Yes, mother. He also said that we don't need to buy my potions book, he will give me one of his own." Amethyst smiled at her mother, who smiled back.
-"Alright then. Come to me when you found it."
Soon, all the books Amethyst required for the school was in their shopping basket. The two exit the shop, and were on their way to Ollivander's Wand Shop, when they spotted a familiar man walking towards them on the street.
-"Severus, didn't think we'd see you here." Anne smiled at the taller, black haired man infront of them.
-"Severus!" The young witch, who smiled as soon as she spotted Snape in the crowd spoke from a few inches under their eye level. She hugged him by his torso, and he pat her back gently.
-"I thought I'd see you two here." The man spoke in a deep voice. A small smile was present on his face, but it soon disappeared.
-"We were just off to Ollivander's." Anne spoke as she smiled at her daughter, then looked back at Severus. -"Will you come with us? Or knowing you, you have something rather important to do." The woman smirked slightly.
-"The latter." The crooked nosed man spoke, his gaze averted to the girl infront of him. -"I'll see you at Hogwarts." Another small smile was present on his face for a second while he ruffled Amethyst's hair slightly.
-"See you at Hogwarts!" Amethyst smiled back at him and did a small wave. Severus nodded at Anne, then turned on his heel and walked back into the crowd, pushing his way through.

Time passed quickly, and before she even knew it, Amethyst had all her things she needed for her first year at Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. She had a huge grin on her face as she tidied up her belongings in her room.
-"Tomorrow is the big day." She heard a low voice from behind her. -"Look at you, all grown up. I remember holding you in my arms when you were a small baby, and now, here you are, ready for your first year at Hogwarts." The voice belonged to her father, who stood in her doorway.
-"Oh father, no need to be so emotional." Amethyst let out a chuckle.
-"Well, the Hogwarts Express will take off at 11AM, and you're already packed for tomorrow. You'll be able to sleep in a little." The man smiled.
