MIDSUMMERS (chapter 4)

Kie's POV

Me and Y/n are in the car, driving back to the chateau. We're holding hands while Y/n drives. I admire her features while she drives. Her tanned skin was covered with her dark curls, while her long eyelashes batted every time she blinked. Her hands move on the steering wheel, with her bracelets dangling from her wrist. Most of them are bracelets that I made for her, she said she would never take them off because she'll never forget me. How did I get so lucky with a girl like her? She's always here for me when I need her, she said she'd do anything for me. I have to be the luckiest girl in the world.

We finally make it to the chateau, Y/n turns off the car and looks over to me. I'm look out the window, overthinking.

"Hey," she says, grabbing my chin and turning my face to look at her.

"I love you, Kie," she says, moving her hand to push my curls behind my ear. "and I'll always be here for you."

"I love you too," I say, grabbing her hand and kissing the back of it. "and thank you for being here." I say.

"Hey, you know midsummers is tonight, right?" Y/n says, flashing me a smile.

"Oh, that's tonight?" I say, looking up at her. "Yeah, that's tonight!" she says laughing. "Do you wanna go?"

"I mean I would, but I don't have a dress to wear." I say, I don't think we would be able to get in anyway. They never let pogues into midsummers.

"We can always go out to get you a dress, I need one too." Y/n says, grabbing her bag from the back seat. "I can buy you some clothes, too."

My heart melts at her suggestion. She's always buying stuff for me. I try to tell her that I can buy stuff myself, but she does it anyway.

"Uh yeah," I say, getting out the car. "Can we hang out here for a few hours though?"

"Of course," Y/n agrees, wrapping her arm around my shoulders, I lean my head on her shoulder as we walk towards the chateau.

Y/n's POV

Me and Kie are sitting on the couch, watching an old Disney princess movie. I never got why she loved old Disney princess movies, but I'll do anything to see her smile. Her head was currently laying on my lap while I played with her hair. I saw her eyes fighting to stay open.

"We don't have to go if you don't want to," I whisper to Kie. She was never big on flashy, kook events anyway. I just thought it would be a good idea to cheer her up.

"No no," Kie says, shooting up and rubbing her eyes. "I wanna go. Plus, I'm pretty sure JJ is going."

I giggle to myself, "JJ? Going to Midsummers?" I say, "there's no way!"

"If you say so," Kie says while standing up and grabbing her phone.

"Ready to go dress shopping?" I flash a big smile to Kie, she laughs at my attempt to be funny.

"Come on, we're wasting time!" Kie says giggling. She walks to the door and I follow closely behind her.
