"Princess Diera really saved us with all of these reinforcements," Senji said.
"The riots are finally under control," Yato celebrated.
"I can finally sleep," Fukiya praised.
Reiko entered the room with a pale face,"I don't know what she's done. But a messenger just came. Nori is no longer a Mongolia."
The click the girls had heard earlier had been from the desk at the front of the library. It was full of scrolls containing riot plans.
"That's my dad's handwriting," Nori said.
"It would explain why he wouldn't want you talking to Po," Diera said.
"How are we going to explain this?"
"We can't, maybe it's time for a change in advisory."
"Where do you want me to go?"
"The Korezutos, or you could go back to being my lady in waiting."
"I don't know."
"Let's go talk to Francis. Sorry Nori, it looks like I have to keep an eye on your family for a while."
It was strange to see the Mongolia family on the wrong side of the castle prison's bars. Nori felt out of place looking in on them.
"Nori," her dad said,"you have disgraced your family."
"Father, I served the crown, my queen, and our nation. I'm appalled you didn't choose to do the same."
Francis asked Nori how to annul the Mongolia contract. It had been standing for nearly 500 years. The original document had been lost over time.
"Are you sure?" Nori asked.
"My father had been thinking about it during his rule," Francis said,"the riots pushed him over the edge and he's advised me to do this.'
"Right now, it's your choice, your highness."
"I would like to release the Mongolias from their service."
The act was rather simple. He had done it by firing the family. But for tradition's sake the Mongolia tree at the front of the castle was chopped down. This showed the public that a core part of their government was going to be forever changed.
"Nori before you go back," Diera said,"I would advise you to stay here for a time. The mobs outside of the castle may not be safe for a Mongolia for some time. Disowned or not."
"What if they arrested her?" Fukiya worried.
"Isn't the queen her friend? She'll probably be okay," Reiko said.
"If she's been disowned she probably isn't even in captivity," Senji said.
"I'm going to go get her," Yato decided that would be better than to stand around and worry.
"Calm down and wait," Senji told his brother,"we'll be told more soon."
"They're a little distracted right now. Besides, Nori could be in danger if her family disowned her for more than just not wanting to go along with them."
"You're needed here Yato."
"I'll be quick," Yato tied his sword to his hip.
"Fukiya, I'm going to keep him out of trouble. You're in charge of the compound until we return," Senji said.
"You want me to speak to him?" Nori asked.
"I understand that it's a lot to handle," Diera said,"but you're the only person I can trust with this."
