THE KINGS CHAMBERS, 42 AC.

"Well, well husband, I'm sorry for you and your whores loss." Jaehaera uttered without a second thought. Her kindness was completely gone ever since she discovered Maegors and Kathryn's late-night endeavors.

Maegor turned sharply to see his wife, Maegor was never kind to Jaehaera, and always neglected her, never showing any love or affection for her or their children. His face was cold.

"Are you saying that in a sympathetic or mocking tone, wife?" He said, his tone hardened. Kathryn's miscarriage has been hard on him, especially since the discovery that it wasn't natural, but man-made.

"Why would I be sympathetic? Her bastard deserved to die, I would never wish a miscarriage upon anyone, but she deserves it." Jaehaera scoffed while giggling.

She knew who caused it, and she wasn't ashamed of it.

The coldness of Maegor's eyes was palpable. He stared at her, his jaw clenched in anger.

"Watch your tongue, wife."

"Why should I. Bastardy is a sin, the gods did her a favour by taking that bastard out of her womb." Jaehaera counterargued, her voice was as cold as ice.

"Her baby died, Jaehaera."

Maegor said it so simply and plainly that Jaehaera might have felt her stomach roil in pity and guilt.

"I'm not saying what happened was wrong... but she still deserves sympathy."

"Sympathy for sleeping with my husband? Never. May all her sons die out."

The bitterness in Jaehaera's eyes was no mystery to Maegor, yet her comments still surprised him.

A look of rage built up in the King's eyes, his jaw clenched.

"I have been your husband since you were fourteen years old and I will not take such disrespect from one who's still a child. Your opinion is of little importance, child bride."

"So is yours, child groom." Jaehaera countered sharply. She truly didn't care anymore.

Maegor's face reddened in anger, the blood vessels on his temples bulged. Jaehaera knew this was the last thing she wanted to see.

"Your place, for now at least, is on the Dragonstone and not by my side unless I call for you."

Maegor grabbed the girl by her sliver hair, pulling her closer.

"Gladly." She responded coldly.

"Good."

Maegor released the girl, looking down on her as if she were a bug, then turned away.

Jaehaera seemed completely unscathed, she felt like she was in the right.

A FEW DAYS LATER, DRAGONSTONE, 42 AC

Maegor summoned Jaehaera to Dragonstone, to speak to her about an important matter, and when the young queen eventually arrives, she is met with her husbands cold and stoic expression.

"You're late." Maegor said it bluntly, his expression not changing as he motioned for Jaehaera to take a seat.

She was quick to take a seat. "Hello, husband." She spoke in indifference.
