Hello! Before this journey begins, I have a few things to inform you about.
This story follows the musical, so please stop asking why this story doesn't align with things in the movie. Although, this story may contain references to the movie and musical both.
This story takes place in 2023, not 2018.
Also, the reader's pronouns are they/them, to maintain a gender neutral reader.
This story is based on the musical, but it won't exactly follow the story from said musical.
The reader's love interest is Beetlejuice in this iteration.
As it is with most of my stories, the reader is an adult, like late 20s early 30s.
This story may contain things like:
Blood, gore, foul language, fear, fluff and angst.
There will be no smut/lemon/lime.
