An hour and a half later Emma had showered changed and slicked on some make-up. She was waiting in her living room that was decorated pretty plainly only containing a love seat and an arm chair and a small framed picture above the fire place, which hadn't been set ablaze since before Emma could remember. She was reading a magazine and eating a snack; an apple, before she headed out for the day. Finally at 12:50 she heard a knock on the door.
"Finally, it took you long enough." Emma opened the door only to find, none other than, Keith standing on her front porch.
"Okay, one, why are you here and two, how do you even know where I live?" this Keith kid was not only stepping way over the line, but he was beginning to creep her out.
"I watch you get on and off the bus every day. I know everything about you; your schedule, your middle names even the name of your hair products." Emma's eyes grew wide and she began backing up wondering why she hadn't looked through the little peep hole that was on her door for exactly this reason. She stared at him in disbelief before noticing the amused smile playing on his lips. Stepping forward she narrowed her eyes at him.
"Listen, I don't know who you are or why you're here, but it'd be just grand if you would leave me alone. You're giving me the serious creeps."
"I don't understand why. I mean, I told you we needed to talk."
"Are you serious!" she began counting off her fingers. You suddenly show up at my house and in my class right before I have a freaky vision thing—"
"They are called Eidolons."
"so not the point."
"I told you we need to talk and we do. Now, would you like to talk?"
"I-I-"Emma didn't know what to say, but since she needed answers more than she wanted them she answered "yeah, I guess. Come in, but don't even think about touching anything."
Emma stepped aside holding the door open, allowing him to pass. He walked in and looked around, surveying her house. He walked towards her mantle where the few pictures she owned were placed. When Emma's father had left he had a major break down during which the majority of these pictures had been smashed or ripped. Emma saw no point in keeping them anyways, she didn't really care for her family at this point but it served as a reminder that someone had at least loved her at one point in her life.
As Keith continued his snooping Emma poured them each a small cup of coffee. When she turned around and he was still looking around she made an annoyed sound hoping he would catch her hint. Thankfully he did turning to face Emma and accepting the cup of coffee she extended towards him. "Thanks"
"So, why exactly are you here. In my home. That I never gave you a location for."
"Oh, yeah that. Well, as you know you had an Eidolon."
"Yeah, I got that part I still need the why, what, and how."
"Yes. Well, as long as we have known there have been people who can read minds, see the future and possibly do other things we have not discovered yet."
"So, what exactly does this have to do with me? Could you please just get to the point I have things I need to do and they definitely don't include you."
"Okay, well you see you are one of these people. Although you aren't really human. Anyways, there used to be an entire race of what we call Seers. Meaning you see all."
"Wait, what do you mean 'used' to be?"
"Well I see you can't be patient so I'm just going to get straight to the point. You're the only one left that we know of."
