It had taken about an hour in the kitchen, and somehow they managed to NOT burn the cake they were making. But now, they had a small cake for Lunar! Earth held it in a small box they had found as they quickly ran their way back to the Daycare.
They were headed to visit Lunar at the moment. Sunrise nervously fidgeting and nicking at his ribbons as they walked. Earth glanced over at Sunrise as they made their way up to the balcony, "Are you alright Sun?" She asked, voice holding a gentle and fairly concerned tone as they stopped in the hallway of the balcony.
Sunrise quickly stopped in his tracks once noticing she had stopped, stopping his fidgeting as well with a shaking grin. "O-oh! I'm fine it's just.. I'm a bit nervous, I hope they're- I just- this is so confusing. So much is happening and and-" Sunrise rambled, his voice wary and subtly shaking as his rays shrunk in.
Earth just held a hand out toward Sunrise, still holding a soft smile. "I can understand that can be stressful.. but we'll get through this okay? We can go relax or just.. talk about things after we talk to Lunar if that'll make you feel better?" Earth said as she tilted her head to the side slightly, Sunrise perked up and just stared at her for a silent moment. Contemplating on his own response as his mouth pursed in his thoughts, lightly digging his fingers together as he finally looked back up at Earth.
"That would actually be.. alright with me. Yeah, we can just talk and hang out after this." Sunrise's expression softened, no longer seemingly strained with anxiety and concern, his rays coming back into full length as he sighed, "But, that's after we see how Lunar's doing." Sunrise mumbled, continuing to walk forward and eventually standing in front of Lunar's door along with Earth.
Sunrise slowly twisted the doorknob and opened the door, staring at Lunar. Both Sun and Earth froze in place as they stared at Lunar.
What happened.
The once blue cloak Lunar adorned was now replaced with black. His tail still shaped as a flower instead of a star, but it seems every star on him had been replaced with flowers instead. This had to be the work of Lunar's nanomachines, but.. what would cause Lunar to want to look like this? It wasn't something out of the ordinary for Lunar to change their appearance but this was just absurdly different.
"Lunar?" Earth asked, hesitant to even speak up. Lunar's head snapped over at Earth and Sunrise, quickly relaxing once they seemingly processed who the two were. "Hello! I- uhm, don't mind the change it ah.. woke up, like this. I can't change it for some reason though." Lunar muttered, quickly turning their body to face Earth and Sunrise, still sat on the floor.
Sunrise seemed to physically sigh in relief, put more at ease at the fact Lunar was acting relatively the same still despite the news of the virus and the appearance change. Sunrise slowly shut the door behind him and Earth.
Earth glanced at Sun, and quickly looked back at Lunar. Sun then spoke up, "We should get that checked out soon.. the appearance change, we would get Moon to check it out but-" Sun's words died down as he just made a motion with his hands, hoping the others would understand. Lunar slowly nodded and Earth just stared in confusion.
Lunar let out a heavy sigh thinking on it apparently, "I- I didn't.. mean to- hurt, him! It's just!- urges, tendencies, make brain hurt and wanna poof!" Lunar mumbled almost like a pout, confusion lingering in their voice as they just crossed their arms.
"It isn't your fault, you have a virus after all, you can't control it!" Sun said, quickly making his way in front of Lunar and sitting in front of the other, Earth quickly followed suit and took a seat next to Sun, nodding.
Lunar just stared, "I- okay.. but I could've tried to do something," Lunar paused, suddenly giving a skeptical look at the two all while squinting their eyes, "..Waait wait no I'm not having a therapy session, pause!" Lunar continued, giggling, "Okay okay but why are you two here then? I know you really didn't just come here only to talk to me for a bit!" Lunar quickly asked, trying to change the topic.
