~ reflections - the neighborhood ~

D3LAYLAH
by: Sam Hwang.

sitting in the car
suddenly tunnel shows up
going trough that loop
just taking a look

car suddenly breaks down
in a middle of the tunnel
no way in, no way out
this can't end well

staying here all alone
this might be the one thing
it's so scary and confusing
this one messed up feeling

trying to understand
why I ended up here
I'm trying to find the end
and trying to stay safe

this place is dangerous
it can swallow all your thoughts
from the thoughts it makes a weapons
slowly torturing you with them
and there is no end

it has been a year, two or three
driving cars never notice me
I'm just here and hearing a melody
sitting here again with my hands all bloody

no one hears my silent cry
no one has a memory
oh my bleeding hands
maybe they will save me

I feel so fucking numb
and so fucking dumb
trying to get away
I think there is no way

I'm picking up a weapon
made from my own bones
deep inside I know this is end
just let me end it all

just let me end my suffering
and all the sleepless nights
all the times I used the weapon
to feel a relief for a while

the bloods coming down my wrist
and even tho I promised
I can fly hight now
I finally see a light

there is no end

finally found the end.

Felix closed the book, sighing.

It was 2:13 am, and he had to get up for work
at 6:00 am.

he knew that he would be tired, but he would sacrifice every second of his sleep for poems, especially the ones written by Sam Hwang.

Felix loved them the most.
It felt like he....related to them?

He himself didn't know the answer.

He was sitting on a windowsill, with his window open, looking at the street, letting the light wind mess his hair.
He liked that feeling.

he stayed like that for a few minutes, but then decided to go to sleep, if he didn't want to fall asleep at his work.

meanwhile, hwang hyunjin was returning home from his dance performance.

he was a busy guy, really.

his time was filled with writing poems and with performances. he managed to do the two things he loved the most, and still had a time for himself.

no one knew that the mysterious masked dancer from the famous theater who was dancing every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 20:00 was a poet burning with passion.

hyunjin finally got to his house and opened the door. he walked upstairs and took a long shower.
he was super tired from today's performance, that the only thing he was able to do was to go to bed and fall asleep.

{•}
Felix woke up, and as he expected, he was tired as hell.
he didn't want to leave his bed, but it's not like he had a choice.

he got ready and left for bookstore.
why?
because the little cafe he worked in had a bookshelf full of books of every kind, so that everyone who came inside could read while drinking coffee, or tea, or something different.
they could also buy the book they read if they want.

The cafes owner was a friendly guy, and a big friend of Felix. They're both from Australia, which was the reason that they became friends in middle school. When Chan opened a cafe, Felix immediately volunteered to help his friend with the cafe. Two other friends also joined them, and they started working at the cafe. It became popular really quickly, thanks to the amazing deserts Felix was baking together with his best friend jisung.

Since Felix was the only one who knew something about books, he was the one who was in charge of the bookshelf. He was the one who kept the books in order and who was making sure that there were new books every few months.

and today was the day sam hwang published his new poetry book.

of course he was going to get it for the bookshelf ( and for himself too ).

he walked inside and he looked around, looking for a books that he could buy.

he eventually picked four new books and then he took two of the new sam hwangs poetry books and went to pay.

he arrived at the cafe, his friend behind the counter immediately welcoming him.

"hi Felix, you have new books for the bookshelf?"
his friend jeongin asked

"yeah, we sold few books and we needed some new, so I bought them. Also, today sam hwangs new poetry book was published."
Felix smiled when he said that.

"you like that writer a lot, huh?"

"yeah, if you weren't always reading those Wattpad stories and actually read his books, you would understand."

"ouch." jeongin said with a laughter.

"hey, felix! Come here! We need more of your brownies!" jisung yelled from the kitchen.

"well, time for me to go." Felix said and went to the kitchen

the day went by really fast, and Felix was in the kitchen, helping jisung with the desserts.

"Felix! Someone wants to find something in the bookshelf!"

Felix sighed and walked out of the kitchen.

A man was standing there.

And he wanted to know if they had the knew sam hwangs poetry book already.
