Epilogue 6

The next day, Kinn woke up at 7 in the morning.

He set the alarm beforehand as he had to feed Emerald medicine.

He washed up and then went to check on Emerald.

"Sweetheart" he whispered softly while stroking her soft cheeks.

Emerald then woke and her little hands reached for Kinn as she cried softly.

Kinn immediately picked her up from the cradle so carefully.

He comforted her, kissed her on the forehead and hugged her.

"Are you feeling better today?"

Emerald blinked her teary eyes at him.

Kinn wipes her precious tears away and hugs her tightly.

"..dada...want mama"

Kinn then looks at her as his eyes changed so much, holding all the guilt.

"I know, I miss mama too."

Kinn sighs softly.

"I'm sorry sweetheart"

He stroked her cheeks softly while hugging her.

Emerald then reaches her hand out at Kinn as Kinn pulls her closer, thinking that she wanted to say something when she kissed him on the cheek.

Kinn froze for a second or two then laughs softly at her reaction.

He kisses her back softly.

"I love you hmm?"

He then plays with Emerald a bit making her laugh cutely.

"Okay, let's eat the medicine"

Emerald immediately stops smiling as she then pouts her lips.

Kinn then took the small cup of medicine and fed her.

Emerald lowered her head, not wanting to drink it.

"Sweetheart, this is the last time, I promise, after this you'll be alright" Kinn said in such a gentle voice.

Emerald clutches his sleeve tightly as she shakes her head softly.

"dada...no"

Kinn's heart melted when he heard that.

He puts down the medicine and hugged her so tight.

"you don't want it?"

"no..."

"it'll make you feel better sweetheart, just one small sip"

Emerald was quiet for a while before Kinn heard small sobs.

"Oh sweetheart, no, don't cry, it's okay, no medicine hmm? no medicine anymore. Don't cry sweetheart , It's alright, don't cry"

Kinn would always fail whatever he's doing whenever she starts crying.

She just somehow manages to capture his heart and just break it easily with her soft cries and her small voice.

She then sniffles and slowly stops.

Kinn sighs softly.
Whatever was he going to do with her?

"mama"

Kinn then looked up at her.

"dada...mama mama"

Kinn immediately spins his head around.

He saw Porsche moving a little his eyebrows furrowed.

He immediately puts Emerald back in the cradle.
