Charles and Pierre are in the front seats of the car, while Kika and i are in the back, chatting. After  a few minutes of driving, Charles pulls out in front of a club, and we all go out af the car. Charles puts a hand on my back as we walk into the building. Inside, it's crowded with people drinking, some already wasted, even though it's only the begining of the night. I get closer to Charles, making sure i don't get lost, and he leads me to a vip table where i recognize some faces. I seat between of Carlos and Charles, and a guy i never saw hand me a shot. I have no idea what's in it. I turn to Charles, and he gestures to the guy that i don't want it, so he hand it to someone else around the table. Charles leans toward me, speaking in my ear as the music is really loud.

-Did you already drink alcohol?

-No, never.

-Do you want to? Pierre is the one driving us back anyway, so i might drink a little.

-Yeah, i wanna try. I respond without even thinking.

Charles nod before getting up and holding his hand out for me to take it. When we arrive at the bar, he turns to face me.

-I guess you don't know much about alcohol, but do you have a idea of what you want?

-Something strong.

-You sure? He asks kinda concerned.

-Absolutely.

-Okay then.

He orders a couple shots, and we take them together. The feeling of the drink burning my throat feels a little weird, but i kinda like it right now. After a little talking and a few more drinks, we head back to the table where i find a really tipsy Kika. I sit beside her and Charles goes at the other end of the table.

-Where did you  go girl?? She asks laughing and hugging me. Okay, maybe not just tipsy. Were you with Charles? You left me with all those men.

-One of those men is you boyfriend. I respond laughing.

-Wait. Were you drinking? How dare you not wait for me to drink. I wanted to be there for your first shot.

-Well it clearly seems like you didn't wait for me either. You're already drunk and it has not been an hour since we're here.

-I'm not drunk! Just really really happy.

-Yeah sure.

Suddenly she gets up quickly, and take Pierre by his arms.

-We're gonna dance, join us. And take Charles with you.

-What? But i never danced.

-There's no need to know how to dance in a club. Just move.

Within a second, she's already out of sight, and Pierre with her.

I look over in Charles's direction, and he is already looking at me. He excuses himself to the guy he was talking to, gets up and come in front of me. He offers me his hand, which i don't take right away.

-Do you wanna dance? He asks seeing my hesitation.

After a few second, i decide to finally take his hand. After walking away from the table, he turns to me, puts his hands on my waist, and we starts slowly dancing on the music. My arms naturally find their way to his neck, and the feeling of his touch through the tight dress make me slightly blush.

We kept dancing and drinking together for most of the night. We were now having so much fun on one of our favorite song, probably laughing like crazy people. Our hands never left the other's body for too long, and always find their place back after a few second. Saying we were drunk would be an understatment at this point.

Suddenly I feel like the heat of the club had incredibly increase, so i ask Charles to go out of the club for a few moment, still laughing. As soon as we get out, i spot i park, and an idea pops in my mind.

-Are you good at climbing?

He looks at me confused, before i walk to the barrier that separate us from the inside of the park and he follows me.

-You do realize it's closed at this hour?

-That's why i asked if you could climb.

His head turns to me, his lips slightly parted.

-You don't wanna go over the barrer, do you?

-You remember when we were in Australia, and i jumped from the window many times to escape from my hotel room? Well climbing this is as easy as climbing the hotel wall you know.

-You almost fell in my arms.

-You made me fall in your arms. I could have done it myself. Now, do you wanna  go inside or not?

-You're gonna put me in trouble. He says but i catch a smile on his lips.

I starts going over the barrer, and with Charles's help, i'm on the other side in a few second. I suddenly feel the amount of alcohol i took earlier as my head starts spinning when i land. Soon, Charles jump, and almost fall on me. We laugh loudly as we walk deeper in the park. After a few minutes, i lay in the grass in the middle of the park. I look at the sky, filled with stars. Charles soon join me. It seems like i can see the world spinning while looking up. When i close my eyes to stop the unpleasant feeling in my vision, Charles's voice fill the silence which took place for a few minutes now.

-I was really scared when you stopped talking to me.

-Scared of what?  I ask confused. Scared was not the world i was expecting. I thought he would have been, well, i don't know, hurt.

-Scared you might have decided you didn't wanna stay with me anymore.

-It was not the case, i can assure you.

-Then, what was it? I stay silent. I mean, i'm really happy you're talking to me again, and your answer will not change anything in our relationship. I just really want to know.

It might change something actually.

-I'm not sure it's the kind of thing we should discuss with so much alcohol in our veins.

-You seem sober enough to me.

-Well, i am not.

-Come on Beth. We're gonna have this conversation anyway, so why not now? I'm telling you, it's not gonna change anything.

This man is gonna be the death of me. I lean on my elbows to help me sit up, since my head is spinning so bad.

-What if it does? Will you stick to your words and act like i never said anything?

-I would do that if it makes you stay. He says in a wispher.

A strange feeling take place in my stomach.

-I'm not gonna leave. You're stuck with me now.

He laughs a little.

-I don't mind that. He pauses in his sentence. I look over my shoulder to meet his eyes, and i see in it the desire to know.

-Fine, you win, i'll tell you. I say looking away from his green eyes.
