The existence of fairies has always been a debate. Not faeries, those are basically all creatures of folklore (elves, unicorns, fairies, etc). Of course all of them exist in Middle Earth. The only reason why the existence of fairies is questioned is because not many have seen them. They prefer to be hidden and sometimes in plain sight. Probably the main reason as to why no one can find them is because they are trying too hard.

So in some unknown hiding place was a kingdom of fairies that created the changing of the seasons. Its fairies were sleeping away the night. All was calm and peaceful, but there was still one fairy that was awake. Queen Clarion sat in her chambers reading intently. She wasn't someone to get very much sleep, but that was because she would be stressing over the next days queenly duties. So, much like every night, the queen would read until the lines would begin repeat and the words would begin to blur together.

Slowly this was beginning to happen. Clarion's eyes were slowly beginning to droop. The comfortable position she sat in the plush chair was relaxing. The perfect temperature of the room was adding to the serenity. Her shallow breathing was rhythmic and practically a lullaby. Sleep was taking her over at last and she didn't even bother to go lie down in the extravagant bed she had.

That moment ended anyway as the sound of something crashing and breaking came from down the hallway. Clarion jolted awake. It was silent again, maybe it had been nothing but her imagination. She rubbed her temples roughly before going over and crawling into bed. Of course sleep was now farther away than it had been before, but it wasn't worth reading again if she wasn't going to remember it tomorrow. So for now she just had to hope that she would fall asleep like a normal person.

Then the crashing noise happened again, but this time it was a lot closer. Her eyes snapped open and her sapphire orbs locked on the door. She could year the sound of heavy footsteps coming down the hallway, causing her heart to pound. The footsteps suddenly stopped and Clarion had never been so terrified of silence in her whole life.

The door handle jiggled slightly and she wrapped the covers around her tightly, either in an attempt to hide or comfort herself. It continued to jiggle and the moments that it carried on through were agonizing. Then there was a click and the door creaked open slightly. Clarion covered her mouth, afraid of making any noise. At this moment she was too scared to even breathe!

HELP!

The door was kicked open after that. Before there had been hesitation, but that was gone now. A pair of boots clunked against the floor as a dark, unrecognizable figure stepped in. Another followed behind it. Clarion didn't dare to move an inch or even twitch a muscle. One of the figures appeared to be looking straight at her and her breath hitched.

A smile came across his face and spoke evilly, "Hello there, your majesty."

The fairy almost screamed, but was quickly hushed by a hand covering her mouth. It gripped her jaw hard, most likely enough to cause bruises. Clarion whimpered in pain as tears began to well in her eyes.

"Oh no, we don't need you screaming and getting your guards!"

She had to find a way to escape them! Who knows what they were going to do to her! So Clarion did the one thing she knew she could do and that was biting down hard on the hand holding her mouth. The man yelled in pain, but he quickly turned back to her, "You little-" He slapped her as hard as he could across the face. Instantly she passed out.

"That'll teach her!" the other man laughed.

"Come on, we have to get her and the others to Gundabad if we want to get paid! I'd say the Orc King himself would like this one! We can get a heavy price for her!"
