Five second generation. Instant gratification. Patience is in the past. Wants are instant. There's never enough time, that's what we're told. Never enough time to do the things we want or need, the things that make life matter.
Priorities. That's the key or so they say. Figure out our priorities, but do it fast because there's not enough time to just live and laugh. If you blink you'll miss it and it'll be a waste, but if you focus too hard on it, it will slip away all the same. Society offers instant gratification, if you do x, y and z, you'll be free! They don't tell you that never fills the void, just to rinse and repeat and don't forget your loosing time to enjoy life because time doesn't stop for anyone, especially those to consumed with trying to find more of it.
Five second generation. Instant gratification. Patience is in the past. Wants are instant. There's never enough time, that's what we're told. Never enough time to do the things we want or need, the things that make life matter.
Attention is getting shorter, time is running out, summers are moving on at the speed of light without us. Five seconds here, five seconds there, an hour later, three weeks time. We look up and we're another year older and three steps behind. How you do stop the flood of time? The on rush of life no one warned us about. How when you stop to smell the roses, you will loose precious moments. Life moves on whether we are ready or not. The passages of time changes and takes and gives in a way only a primordial experience can. We are in such a rush to do things in the little time we have, we end up loosing so much of it in just the rush.
Five second generation. Instant gratification. Patience is in the past. Wants are instant. There's never enough time, that's what we're told. Never enough time to do the things we want or need, the things that make life matter.
Stop. Breathe. Slow down. Take a breath. Sure time doesn't stop, but we loose more of it in the rush of life then if we just slow down and learn to live in the moment of life. Always rushing from one thing to the next. Not enough time. Not enough time. You'll find if you slow down, so does time. The important things in life are timeless. Friendships. Family. Sunsets. The seasons changing. Patience in what will be will be.
Five second generation. Instant gratification. Patience is in the past. Wants are instant. There's never enough time, that's what we're told. Never enough time to do the things we want or need, the things that make life matter.
