~Dina POV~
Next Day Sunday Morning
8:00 am
I woke up on a sunny Sunday morning, feeling all warm and happy. The sun made my room bright, and it felt like a big hug. It was 8 o'clock in the morning.
I climbed out of my comfy bed, still in my soft pajamas. I was a bit sleepy, but I was excited about the day ahead.
I went to the kitchen, and oh boy, it smelled amazing! There was coffee brewing, and it smelled like a cozy hug. I decided to make some scrambled eggs. They sizzled and popped in the pan, and I loved that sound. I also toasted some bread and put butter on it. The kitchen felt all warm and safe.
I poured myself a cup of coffee. It was hot and smelled so nice, like a big, comforting hug from a friend. I sat at my little table near the window, and the sunbeams touched my face. It made me feel all happy inside.
New York City, with its tall buildings and busy streets, felt like a whole new world compared to my small hometown. I was standing in the lobby of my new apartment building, kinda nervous but also kinda excited. My hair's this nice, honey-like shade, and my hazel eyes were taking in everything.
Feels kinda cozy here, I thought, smiling to myself.
Although I miss my mom, I left her and settled here in the apartment so that the work and college will not be much of a hardship for me. I was told my dad was dead and I do not have any siblings by my mom as my father died at a young age.
However, my apartment already felt promising, like the start of a cool adventure.
I went into my new place, and it had this warm feeling. I put my guitar in the corner by the window where the sunlight could touch it just right.
This is where the magic happens, I thought, running my fingers over the guitar strings.
Time flew by as I unpacked and set up my stuff just the way I wanted. The afternoon light made everything feel so inviting. I was all about that peace and creativity.
When evening came, I thought it'd be fun to check out the building. The hallway was long, and the sound of my footsteps echoed a bit. As I walked past the other apartment doors, I couldn't help but wonder about the people behind them, each door hiding its own little story.
This is gonna be an awesome place to live, I thought, imagining all the songs and melodies I'd create here.
Late night 11:53 pm
I ended up near the apartment room next to mine, it was room number 206, feeling kinda curious. I stopped for a second and just looked at the door, wondering about the person on the other side. My hand almost reached out to knock, like I wanted to say hi or something.
And then, it happened—a weird, creepy sound, like a whisper, came from the guy I saw yesterday, his room was next door. It wasn't just some random noise; it was like someone was in there, whispering secrets. It gave me the chills.
My heart started racing, and I froze in my tracks, trying to figure out what the heck was going on.
What's that noise? I wondered, totally on edge. I couldn't help but think something was off.
I got super close to that guy's door, like maybe I'd hear more and make sense of it. But the night got silent, and all I had was the memory of that spooky whisper.
Could there be something weird happening in there? I couldn't help but imagine all sorts of stuff. My stomach felt uneasy, and I just couldn't shake this bad feeling.
I almost put my ear on the door, thinking maybe I'd hear more, but it was just silent. The night was deepening, and I was getting a real sense of unease.
What's up with that room next door? I wondered.
And then, just as I was about to head back to my place, it happened again—a faint, creepy whisper from the other side of the door, like it was calling me.
I shivered big time, and my heart was racing like crazy. I knew I couldn't just ignore this. The secrets of that room were pulling me in, and I couldn't resist checking it out.
I reached for the doorknob, my hand trembling.
I was gonna unlock the mystery that was messing with my head. The whispers grew stronger, and a strange, haunting melody filled the air. It was a tune I had never heard before, and it sent a shiver down my spine.
To be continued...
